I realized I haven't written this yet, but then again - I did post the book at 3 AM so it's natural that I forgot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Now first off to all the readers who stuck with this from start to end - Thank You So Much - you guys are true gems. I really hope you liked it and YES, I read all the comments that you guys type in. Thank you for the love!
As a writer, making sure this book was under 20 chapters with less than 2k for each chapter (some chapters exceeded that), I have to say: This was a major challenge. Not to mention incorporating all of the prompt quotes that taesexual95 had sent in was a challenge in itself to create the plot.
As a reader myself, if I were, to be honest with you; realism is more of my thing. Not everyone falls in love so fast and there is more to a story than just two characters accepting each other over a very short period. As friends - yeah sure why not; but as lovers - I don't think so. Sure, there are more beautiful stories out there with the concept of love at first sight and quick romance (even in real life too), but it's *ahem ahem* not my first preference. And like I said, I don't hate people who write such stories(if I did, then this story wouldn't exist lmao), in fact, I think they're beautiful and they do showcase the fact that anything can happen in fiction. So if you didn't actually like the story's pace, or if you DNFed it - I'm telling you: that is totally okay and I'm fine with that.
To readers who relate with the above paragraph - my explanation to you is that in a novella, you need to focus only on one character and their plotline. Since the story was more about how Taehyung gets freedom by finding answers to that one incident that flipped his life around overnight, it became the main focus of the story - which meant that Taekook's developing love was kinda overshadowed and described with a bit lesser detail. I had to be a bit more straightforward with the events that took place which meant that I would have to focus on what is necessary. After all, a novella can also be denoted as an unfinished novel too ( ̄︶ ̄)↗
All in all, I had a lot of fun planning out the events and writing this book over the entire week that I took it up. I do think that the experience did shape me as a writer too, which I'm grateful for. New experiences do bring out a lot of exposure for improvement and the things I learned would definitely help me in the new stuff that I write henceforth.
If you'd want to see more works of mine - feel free to check my bio because I've got more books in the making :).
Once again, a huge hug to everyone who read this and I hope to see you in my other works as well.
- Jo
