The food sucks. The sleeping situation sucks. You'd think they'd keep their prisoners/test subjects well fed and kept in nicer conditions.
"Tessa I never got to finish my story from three days ago, would you like to hear it?" Melody coughed into her hand. Blood covered it and she simply wiped it on her night gown.
"I might as well there's nothing else I can do." I replied glancing down at my body hair falling in my face.
"Here" she pushed it back behind my ears since I could not, for yet again I'm in a strait jacket. "Wait a second," her eyes swirled and what looked like memories flashed through them.
"Melody what happened?" I asked begging with my eyes that it's good news. She fell back on her butt and tears fell down her face.
"Tessa when is your 18th birthday?" She quietly choked out.
"It's in twenty something days from now I think why?" I asked puzzled. I so badly wanted to comfort the girl but in this jacket I couldn't.
"It's in 25 days Tessa. I'm so sorry I should have never told you anything." She scooted away and into a corner just as two huge men stormed in and grabbed her.
"MELODY!" I screamed failing to get up.
"I'm so sorry Tessa I should have seen this coming." She whispered back as the men retreated with her.
~~• le twenty four days later •~~
Twenty four days without Melody.
Twenty four days of wondering if she's alive.
Twenty four days of wondering if she would be thrown through that door.
Twenty four days of eating crap food.
Twenty four days of the worst feeling of all dread.
Twenty four days of solitary confinement.
"Please" I had been begging for the past hour for them to end the torture.
"Take her we're done." The man I was about to kill long ago threw Melody in the room.
She wasn't moving.
She wasn't breathing.
"Melody!" I screamed running over to her lifeless body.
No response. That's okay she's probably just tired.
"Melody?" I whimpered turning her to lie on her back.
Her face resembled a bear attack. For god knows she was attacked. Her body was cold, void of any life, she was dead.
She was only seven! A mere child! How could someone do this!
I let out the most guttural scream, it was almost animalistic.
"YOU KILLED A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD" I screamed at the boy I now knew I was destined to kill.
"I-I d-didn't!" He stammered.
"You might not have, but you! YOU! Will pay!" I lunged at him hands outstretched.
He swiped at my arms sending them down. All I needed was a little skin, that's all I need. He's smart, wearing long sleeves and gloves, but he's also dumb. His neck is exposed.
"Tessa I didn't kill her! I didn't even know she was dead!" He raised his hands in defense.
"I don't care." I chuckled darkly. "All I care about is that she's dead!" I lunged again successful this time.
I wrapped my long slender fingers around his warm neck squeezing with all my strength. He gasped for breath scraping at my fingers trying to get a grip.
'Any time now Jezebel Void' I thought.
'Oh so now you want my help....'
'Yes Miss Void'
And with that his skin grew darker and darker green each passing second till the pecking at my hands stopped and he collapsed pulling me with him.
'Look Tessa he left the door open'
I snapped my head over to the door and sure enough he did.
'Let's go Miss Void' I grinned and stalked towards the open door ready to kill every last fucker in this place.
