The next week was interesting people stopped staring, the whispers stopped and then on Friday they resumed because the toxin finally reached his heart. His mother reported his skin turning green, his eyes rolling back foam flowing from his mouth, screaming in agony, agony that I accidentally caused. Jacob passed a year earlier than expected.

------

The next month went the same except a new kid moved here and has tried to be my friend.

"Tessa hello! You want to hang this weekend?" Dean the new kid asked cutting me off, forcing my hand to land on his chest to sturdy myself. Gasps were heard throughout the hall, all motion ceased to exist all eyes were on us. That's when Dean did something he wouldn't live to regret. He thought it would be funny to kiss me. Everyone gasped at first because my hand touched him and that was a first, however I am wearing my gloves and he did not get poisoned. The kiss, my first and last kiss, was the kiss of death.

He dropped to his knees convulsing, the students screamed and some began to run, others called 911 and a few watched in horror as the boy turned green and had all the symptoms my toxin creates.

His mouth foamed.

I have to get out of here.

His eyes rolled back into his head.

"Get out of my way!" I yelled over the screaming and took my gloves off pointing my long skinny fingers at the students threatening them to step back or I would kill them.

But I could never kill any of them could I? Apparently I could as now one lay dying behind me and the other died in front of his mother.

They parted like ants running from rain and I fled.

------

"Tessa there are some people here that would like to talk to you!" My mom yelled down the hall later that evening.

It could be the government or the local police, either way I have to go out there if I didnt then they would know something's up.

"Coming!" I yelled slowly walking down the hall towards the living area.

"Tessa dear these people here are from the local church they are looking for teens to help out for the youth camp." My mother said as soon as I came into her line of sight.

I let out the breath I was holding in, I really believed that it was the FBI or some other government agency, but it was a man in a suit with no credentials, hopefully they're with blue eyes.

"Ah young Tessa it's good to finally meet the one who's brought such chatter to our..." the man in a black suit and tie trailed off before finishing his sentence with "church."

From all the movies and books I've read when a person especially in a black and white suit pauses before saying another word is not good. So I removed my gloves and placed my hand on the table he rested his hands on and smiled playing along but imagining him dying slowly from my curse.

"I suppose there not all bad things?" I returned his over formal behavior.

"None are." he said with all seriousness chuckling after a few moments of an awkward silence.

Slowly as I grew more scared that the "church" people were really government agents, the table began to rot. That is what the people needed to charge at me. The man who's hand was on the table nearly fainted at the sight of the decomposing table and the other simply lunged at me forcing me to throw my arms up to brace with the impact.

He died and my mom fainted but before fainting she whispered:

"I knew I wasn't crazy"

With the little sanity I have left I grabbed a bag full of food and warm clothes and left with my mothers drug money in hand.
