After the vampire claimed me to be a snack and I glared at her she became very scared and kicked us out of her store.
"What did you do Tessa!" Sarg scolded me as we walked down the street.
"I didnt do anything Sarg... all I did was glare at her and - " I began glaring at him.
"Did your eyes do that?" He asked smiling slightly.
"Do what?" I asked puzzled looking at my reflection in a store front glass.
"Turn from their light gold color to pure white." He smirked and headed back to her shop.
"Hey! What do you mean Sarg... ugh wait up!" I has to jog to catch up to him.
The antique shop now had the closed sign in the glass frame and the door was locked.
"Sarg it's obvious she doesn't want to see me again..." I trailed off peering into the shop.
Old chandilers hung from various places around the store. The Chrystals shimmered un the setting sun. Antiques cluttered glass display cases, it seemed she collected old pocket watches as thoes were the most abundant in the store. One case differed from the rest it was new unlike the other cases that were an old wood with a yellowed glass. This case was a painted black metal with perfectly clear glass, and inside of held old antique crest broches. The one in the center seemed the most expensive with its intricate design, gold plated letters sat in the middle with a shield behind it. Around the letters what seemed to be little pictures with rubies and other crystals lie embedded.
"Tessa your eyes again" Sarg said fiddling with the lock. "She's smart this lock is an alloy... I can't mend it open." He grinned and stepped back.
"So what now?" I asked staring at the broach.
"Stop staring at that." He hisses blocking my lone of sight. "The hinges are metal and so is the part of the door that locks so I can just mend thoes out of the way and we're in."
He didn't even lift his hands one second the door was there and the next he was kicking it in. He walked right in the glass under his boots crunching as he walked.
"Uh Sarg?" I asked standing on the stairs.
"Come on in Tessa we have a lot to discuss with her." He motioned for me to follow him deeper into the shop past the antique crest broches.
The broach in the middle was huge. It was palm sized and it had its own aura about it. The letters in the middle are T and M which is kinda freaky it being my initials and all. The design around the shield is of wings embellished with rubies and Dimonds to make it shimmer and stand out. I could not take my eyes away from it.
"Sarg... what is this?" I mumbled in awe stepping closer to the case.
"Tessa don't look at it! Come on." Sarge grabbed me by the arm and dragged me to the back of the store. "Regina! Come on out you old bat!" Sarg yelled and a loud hiss eminated from a back room.
"I am not a bat!" She hissed eyes glowing red fangs out on full display.
"I have a proposition for you Regina..."
