Chapter 3.1:Bestfriends

Seo Wolsig

It's the middle of winter.Two days till Christmas.Everything has turned themselves to the festival.Store,malls;everything is decorated.
The holidays has started but the person who has no plan on Christmas and lying down on her bed with a case report on her hands is Seo Wol Sig.Who is also one of the most popular district prosecutor.Even though she started off four years ago but her sense of justice made her popular and not to mention that she won all the cases she ever laid hands on.
Thus Wol Sig has been busy ever since she started.As a starter prosecutor she topped her seniors and was favoured more.Eventually that gain her more people who'd hate and talk behind her back.Despite all of this always kept herself busy.She held onto herself only.
But even in her busy and as Wol Sig prefers in a miserable life,she always have her bestfriend.The neighbourhood kid who turned into her only friend,Jung Yo Han.
Jung Yo Han always wanted to become an army officer.He always took his army father as an inspiration.But not to forget that he has one of the most protective mother thus he grew up to become a Detective Sergeant.His mother couldn't risk another son in this military occupation.Even the mandatory military service gave her enough pain.
Now it's  been one and half year of his transfer to Seoul and been working whole heartedly as a Detective.Thankfully his mother stays back to their hometown,in Busan.She lives with her sister now and after Yo Han became a detective and she grew old,Yo Han's mother stopped being over protective about her son.
Before moving to Seoul both Wol Sig and Yo Hun used to live in Busan.They both attended middle school and high school together.After graduating from High School they both moved to different cities.Wol Sig has been living in Seoul since then.Even of all the distance and spending the most busiest time of their life,the used to call eachother every week.Their friendship bought their family together as well,but not long after everything changed between the families.
But despite everything the friendship remained the same and nothing could break their bond and trust.

It's almost ticking 9 pm.Wol Sig puts down the file and rubs her eyes.Her phone starts to ring,it's her colleague from work.Shin Tae Rin.
"Wol Sig!Where are you?!",Tae Rin calls her out as soon as Wol Sig picks up the phone.
"Hm?I am at my home.Why?Did something happen?",Wol Sig says and walks to the kitchen to warm up her left over foods.
"Oh god.You forgot.Again!We planned a dinner meeting!",Tae Rin says and whispers her last words.
"Dinner meeting?No.I don't remember planning any dinner meeting with you.",Wol Sig answers and presses the button of her oven to warm up the soup from last night.
"What?But I texted you about it a week ago!!",Tae Rin whispers her words again.
"Really?",Wol Sig asks.
"Ya,you saw the text!I thought you will be coming!Where are you?"
"Wait let me check."
Wol Sig swipes through her texting app and indeed,Tae Rin did text her and she did saw the text.She didn't reply anything to her and must have forgotten about it later.
Wol Sig gets into the call again.
"Yeah,just read the text.Sorry for not replying.So a double date...."
"Yes!Remember,I told you about meeting someone who's a detective?Apparently he has this really good looking friend who is single!They both are flat mates and that's why we planned this double date!"
The oven starts beeping and Wol Sig stays silent.
"Wol Sig,you will come right?"
"...."
"Say something!I am on my way.We are going to this pub.I am near your area.I can pick you up.I will even buy you dinner.....And I will help you to work on the next case you get!!I swear to god!!Please,just this one!."
"Just this one then."
"WOL SIG!YOU ARE THE BEST."

They hung up their phone.Wol Sig takes out the soup from the oven and places it to the table.She takes a deep breath and heads off to get ready.

It took Tae Rin 17 minutes after hanging up her call to reach at Wol Sig's apartment.She parks her car infront the place.Wol Sig is already waiting for her in the parking lot.She notices the car and walks over to Tae Rin.
Wol Sig opens the door of the car and there she is,Tae Rin smiling brightly at Wol Sig.
"Thank you.",Tae Rin says and hugs Wol Sig.
"You reek of flower and soap,Tae Rin."
"Yeah I know!I tried three different perfumes and used two soaps while showering.",Tae Rin says brightly.
"What?",Wol Sig asks smiling.
"This date is really special for me!I think I will marry him!",Tae Rin says with joy.
"You will if only we can reach there on time.Let's go."
Tae Rin nods and starts the car.

They reach at the pub around 9:30.While they were in the car,Tae Rin couldn't stop talking about her detective boyfriend and as the friend Wol Sig is,she listened to Tae Rin.Thankfully it was a short path or else it could have gone forever.
They get out of the car and shows their pass to the gaurd infront of the pub.It wasn't really a pub though.The place looked like a bar for prestigious people.There wasn't many place like this one around.The out look of the place was heavenly.Beautifully crafter with wood and the colour gold.

Wol Sig looks at Tae Rin and says,"This place doesn't look like an ordinary pub."
"I know right?This pub is new in the town.From what Kyung Hae has told me that the owner of the pub lives in France and she is the 14th generation to own the pubs.They have their pubs all around the world.Isnt that amazing?",Tae Rin says.
"Yes.The drinks has to be amazing too then.Anyway let's go."
And they walk into the pub.
