Chapter 3.2 Bestfriends

Seo Wolsig

"Wahhh this place is so cool!",Tae Rin says.
"I know!.",Wol Sig agrees.
Both of them take a good look at the entire place.The interior was simple but grand.It was clear that everyone was enjoying themselves.Everyone had drinks with themselves and the bartenders looked busy.There weren't many customers.The music was in low bass and everyone's chatter could be heard clearly.From all the gossips someone starts to call out Tae Rin.
"Tae Rin-shi!Right here.!",says a man.
They both look at the same direction together.Tae Rin smiles at the man and waves at him.
"Coming.",Tae Rin says and taps Wol Sig on the shoulder.
"Let's go,Wol Sig.It's him."
The man smiles and sits down.He was tall and wore a white shirt with black pants.His hair was neatly done.He was indeed a handsome man and just was Tae Rin described him.
A handsome man with a cold face but becomes the cutest as soon as he smiles.
They walk to the men and take their sit.The couple hug eachother.Wol Sig shakes hand with Tae Rin's boyfriend and introduces themselves.
"Seo Wol Sig.It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Same goes for me.I am Kim Bin Hae and this is my friend,my colleague,my flat mate;Kang Nam Jin."
Nam Jin is also a handsome man.He was standing next to Bin Hae.Nam Jin was a bit taller and looked charming in navy black turtle neck and gray pants.
Nam Jin and Wol Sig shakes their hands and exchange smile.

"Good to see you,Wol Sig-shi.Your work is really impressive.And look;we are matching our outfits!"Nam Jin says as they all take their sit.
"There's nothing impressive about being a prosecutor.We all are tierd debating eachother.And about our outfits,I'd say it's just a coincidence."Wol Sig says and rests her hand on her knees.
"Haha.Me and Bin Hae are matching too!",says Tae Rin.
They all share an awkward laugh.
Tae Rin already made it clear to the boys that Wol Sig always had her walls high and that it was hard to break in.
To make the atmosphere more comfortable Bin Hae suggests to order drinks.He calls out the waiter and they give out their order.
It seemed as if the time was ticking slow.Wol Sig felt tierd and awkward,everytime she tried to engage conversations it was mostly for a case or when she was talking to her bestfriend.
But the time went perfectly fine.The four of them mostly talked about work and school life,and surprisingly no one seemed to get bored.It seemed more life a gathering of friends rather than a double date.
After sharing few drinks and snacks the couple took their leave and went to spend their night at a nearby restaurant.Even though Tae Rin wanted to have dinner with three of them but Wol Sig politely declined the offer and said that she would stay here for few more drinks thus Nam Jin decided to stay and get to know more about Wol Sig.

"Are you sure about skipping dinner?",Nam Jin asks as they move to the bar's counter table.
"No,I am not entirely skipping the meal.I enjoy homemade food.So I'll head back and eat something home.",Wol Sig says and they order their drinks.
"I enjoy cooking.Back in home,I used to cook with my mother.",Says Nam Jin.
"You learned from her?"
"No,from my grandmother.I used to live with her till I was 16.My parents used to live in Hong Kong before that.My father had business there but then...you know...he lost money,got into illegal stuffs..."
"And your mother moved back?"
"Yeah.Then they got divorced."
"How was it for you?",Wol Sig asks and looks straight at the glass shelf in-front of them.
"I don't know.It was pretty much me and my grandmother at that point.I lived without them for so long that it didn't even matter."
They both lock eyes and share a smile.
"Was childhood fun?",Nam Jin asks.
"Are they ever fun?"
Nam Jin and Wol Sig finishes their last drink and as soon as they are about to leave Nam Jin gets a call.
"Sorry,I am getting a call.
"Sure.No problem.
Nam Jin heads out and talks over the call for a whole two minutes.He comes back and says,
"Hey.I got a call from my department head.Something bad has happened around a nearby area and I have to go.I am extremely sorry."
"No problem at all.Duty comes first.We will meet another time."
"Will we?",Nam Jin asks with a smile.
"A prosecutor and a detective is bound to meet at some point,you know.",Wol Sig answers with a smirk on her face.
"Catch you later then.
Nam Jin leaves the bar.

"Would you like another drink,Ma'am?",the bartender asks Wol Sig.
"Can I have something with lemon?",Wol Sig asks and seats comfortably again.
"Sure."

Wol Sig enjoys her drink.It is almost 10 p.m and the bar has become one of the quietest places.Wol Sig is the only person sitting on the bar counter.
The music changes into something indie and a woman one seat beside Wol Sig.Wol Sig nods in the way of the woman to greet.
The woman doesn't seem to notice and orders her drink.Wol Sig stares at the woman for few seconds.To Wol Sig the woman was oddly dressed.Everything she had on was foreign and out of fashion.Her clothes reminded her of 1950s Paris.
As Wol Sig was about to take her eyes off from the woman,she catches on Wol Sig and slowly asks with an accent,"Can you see me,Madame?"
"What?",Wol Sig asks hesitantly.
"Forgive me for my inconvenience,but can you see me?",the woman asks again.
Wol Sig stares at the woman in hesitant and slowly answers as asked,"Of course,I can see you."
The corner of the woman's mouth tilts as if she is smiling.She turns her body to Wol Sig and says,"Really?"
