Stargazing

"Some soup!" I give him a smile, "and almond tofu." His eyes lit up almost immediately after hearing that. It's quite funny to be honest.

"Jeez..slow down you're going to get a stomach ache" Y/N stated while pointing at Xiao. He ignores them continuing to eat the tofu. "Is it really that delicious? To be honest I've never really had some"

Xiao looks up and just replies with, "You should try it sometime I guess." Then proceeding to eat. "Hmm..Can I?" Y/N asks, Xiao was tilting his head, " Can you what?"

Y/N picks up their chopsticks and grabs a bit of tofu from Xiao's plate, they didn't think twice to make multiple plates.

While Xiao was taken aback by this, Y/N made a weird face. "Ow!! what was that for!?!" Y/N rubs the back of their head, Xiao had hit them out of reflex.

"Anyway the tofu tastes really sweet, I mean like really really sweet. It's alright I'd say!" Y/N adds on, "How do you even bare this? Do you have a sweet tooth or something? Doesn't your throat hurt!!!?" Xiao just shakes his head.

It's abour to turn 11pm, they've rested for a long time. As they both go up the mountain, Xiao asks "What did you come here for specifically?", which Y/N replies with a shrug. "Probably stargazing"

"hah?? that's what you came here for??"

"yeah, stars are pretty don't you think? I've been laying at this exact mountain every year for the past centuries..the view is still as beautiful as it was back then."

"I suppose. I do not have time for this almost ever."

"Well this is your first right? Why not enjoy it while you can?"

They've arrived at the top-ish part of the mountain. It still has a bit of grass so it's not all the way up. Y/N points qt a good spot and beckoned Xiao to come over.

Patting the ground, Xiao sits there probably very far from Y/N. They know he doesn't like contact so Y/N doesn't mind.

"It's a bit cold out today, I didn't expect that.." Y/N says sighing and rubbing their hands together to create warmth.

Xiao knows damn well they're trying to set up a scene just to get him closer. Being the person he is, he just ignores Y/N for the ??? time on their trip. "Xiao!!! I'm actually cold right now!!" Hmph. Y/N crosses their arms ina dramatic manner.

"Yeah yeah sure. I don't care." Xiao replies. "Aren't you supposed to be warm?? or like full of heat? Can you seriously not come closer just a bitt???" Y/N whines.

"No. You know I shouldn't interact with mortals." Xiao pauses and looks at Y/N who's giving him a *seriously..you don't remember* look. "Oh. I forgot that you were also an adeptus."

Y/N face palms and just moves closer. The air around them was cold, Xiao found out they weren't actually lying. "See! told you I'm not lying."

"Sorry. You just seem like someone that would lie a lot." He rests his head on his knees. "Is that meant to be offensive!?? How insensitive of you!" Y/N soon after inches closer to Xiao aware of what they're doing.

"The stars are visible. They're nice like I told you, are they not?" Y/N wisphered trying not to disturb the quiet. They slowly lay down with their arms out feeling the cold air rush over their body.

"Sure. I guess they are, I was wronged." Xiao lays beside them, he looked a peace for once.

"Hey Xiao?"

"what"

"Let's come here more often."

"no"

"that wasn't a question ahaha"

"fine. That depends if I have time for you."

2nd Person

Looking at the stars above you point to them. "That's ____"
(lmao idfk stars n shit)
"-And that's ___. Those two are my favorite to look at" Soon later after lots of commentary, you drift to a peaceful rest.

Xiao POV
I look over to Y/N to find that they are already deep asleep. How can one be so peaceful? I suppose they didn't sign a contract with rex lapis..but they still probably had a rough past.

I sigh and start to ponder, do I really deserve to be at peace? After all I have a contract to continue by and a whole nation to protect. Countless demons are everywhere.

"One day." I whisper, "One day, I'll lay in a flower field with no intentions to kill." I long for another song within the diluha(?) flute.

I drift off to a slumber.
