"What is it you need?"

"Stay here with me at least. Will you Xiao?"

"No promises." Xiao looks over for something else to do while he's there with Y/N. He goes over to a shelf and grabs a book to read. "You don't usually sit and idle around, right?" Y/N questioned.

"Lie back down and rest. I infact do not." Xiao sits back down near Y/N and opens the book. "I'm only here because you are sick." Y/N gives in a small laugh. "What?" Xiao looks over the book. " Pfft your book is upside down" Y/N points at his hands. "oh." he forms an small 'o' shape on his mouth.

"Tales within the Ghosty Village." Y/N read out, "What is it about? And also, are you sure you aren't going to get sick, stemming from me?" Xiao shook his head and continued to read after flipping the book the right way.

"Ehh?!? That's kind of creepy!" Y/N was shivering their arms( the rubbing thingy?),"You should go rest now, I will bring in water." Xiao stood up and excused himself. "Bring food too!!" Y/N shouted.

"Hmm..I'm a little tired, I guess I could take a small nap. It wouldn't hurt."

Xiao was walking down to the Inns kitchen and asks for some almond tofu and water. Smiley YanXiao, the chef at wangshuu Inn, hurried and prepared. Xiao sighs and stares into the distance.

"Here, A plate of almond tofu and a glass of water." YanXiao handed over the food and Xiao took them. He goes back upstairs to Y/N's room and sets the glass of water on a table. "oh. theyre sleeping," Xiao looked at YN and silently left for the highest balcony in the Inn.

Gazing from where he was while eating his dish, he sensed a familiar presence. Xiao sighed, "Traveler. What might you need this time?" He didn't peep a single look, just closed his eyes. Xiao met the adventurer while they were on their way to seek help regarding Rex Lapis' death.

"Ah actually me and Paimon just wanted to ask if youd lend a hand on our journey, to find my sister." The Traveler, Aether, cleared his throat. Paimon interrupted his chance to speak, "Paimon thinks you would've been the best choice!"

"Tch. How annoying, I'm busy; I cannot accompany you as of now." Xiao rolled his eyes, '-and an adeptus person to "take care" of.' Xiao got up from his seat and walked away. "If you have nothing else to say, I'll be going."

Paimon shrugs, "Guess there's no way getting him to budge." Aether and his floating companion make their way to Verr Goldet for a chat. "Verr!! How do you get Xiao to complyyy" Paimon whined. Aether stops Paimon and gives them that 'Cut It Out' glare.

"Aaha, I don't think he'd be able to join you sadly. He's been seeing another adeptus staying here at the Inn." Verr chuckled. "Would you like to meet them?"
