!!Spoilers for Chapter 1: Act 1 - Of the Land Amidst Monoliths (aka Rite of Descension quest)!!

"Would you like to meet them?"

Paimon nodded, "Yes please!!" Aether followed along. "Alright alright, come this way." Verr led the both outside Y/N's room. "Y/N? Are you there? I've brought visitors."

"Oh? You can come in, I'd like to meet them." Y/N looks toward the door of their room. Aether waved, "Ooh! You must be Y/N! My name's Paimon, and this is Aether!" Paimon flew towards Y/N.

"Ah you must be the Honorary Knight from Mondstadt and his traveling companion! I've heard quite the amount of fascinating stories about you two!" Y/N held their hand for a shake. Verr leaves the room and goes down to her desk to continue her paperwork in the meantime, leaving Aether, Paimon and Y/N alone.

"Are you close with Xiao by chance?" Aether questioned. To Y/N's surprise to which he would ask this, they shook their head. "Well sort of I guess? He's still pretty distant. How disappointing."

Paimon said softly, "Could you maybe, help us with something... hehe" "Could you maybe help us with our journey? To find my sister." Aether asked right after Paimon.

"Ah..a loved one. As much as I'd really like to help... I'm in quite the  predicament myself. Xiao probably wouldn't let me out when I'm sick anyway." Y/N thinks for a second.

"Perhaps.. I do know someone that could be willing to help." Y/N gives directions to the traveler. "So if you arrive at Liyue Harbor.. you should see a bridge, I believe right over it should be Mr.Zhongli's workplace. You should be able to find him there."

Aether nods to everything they said and took the information in. "Thank you, really, We should get going now." Y/N smiles and waves, "Hope you have a successful trip!"

Y/N sighs, "You were listening, weren't you?, Xiao." Xiao reveals himself, "You weren't going to actually go, were you?" He questioned coldly over Y/N. "Wh- No! Of course not" Y/N was originally going to go.. that is, until they sensed Xiao's presence.

"Liar." Xiao looked at Y/N directly in the eye. "I made my energy slightly more sensible. You would've said something differently."

"Alright Alright.. You caught me. But I still didn't go!" Y/N crossed their arms. "Yeah yeah sure whatever. Can you keep an eye on Aether?" Xiao started walking away.

"Huh? Can't you do that? Aren't you supposed to be the Vigilant Yaksha or something" Xiao looked back at them. "I have other matters to do. Report back to me if anything goes wrong."

"So you do care about traveler.. What about me?" Y/N jokingly teased. Xiao being..well Xiao, he looked offended in some sort of way. "Hmph You have no respect toward... me."

"Aether! Aether! Look over there! That's where the Rite of Descension starts, let's go make a wish" Paimon flew over to the shrine and clapped their hands together. 

Aether does the same, usually his wish was that he'd find his sister or he'd wish her well. Something like that. Soon enough after a long time of waiting, the Liyue Qixing take their stand. Ningguang, the head, is preforming a speach. "Thank you all for coming here today, we shall begin shortly." 

The sky soon fills with clouds, everything was shaking; the sky was rumbling. Suddenly, a dragon falls from the ground. All crowds were filled with shock, fear and surprise. "Seal the exits! Rex Lapis has been killed!"
