Chapter 10

*one month later*

Hayley's POV

We all sat in the white, too clean hospital room. I looked at Alyssa, she was very pale and hooked up to twenty different machines. The doctor walked into the room and announced that he needed to talk to Meleah, Alyssa's mum, and then stocked out into the hallway. A few seconds later we heard sobbing and they walked back in, Meleah sitting down in between Liam Zayn and bawling her eyes out. "Meleah has agreed, and signed papers that state if Ms.Brown does not wake up by tonight, we will cut life support. I'm terribly sorry, but there is nothing else we can do." With that he left. "No!" Liam screamed. He ran toward Alyssa taking her hand. "Come on Alyssa! You need to wake up." He kissed her hand tears streaming out of his eyes. Ivey made a chocking sound and started to cry into Niall's chest. I pulled my knees to my chest, resting my head on them, letting my tears flow freely. I felt strong arms wrap around me, picking me up and pulling me close. I looked up to meet Harry's glossy eyes. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my head into the crook of his neck. "Why Harry?" I chocked out. "I don't know babe." He replied rubbing my back and rocking us back and forth. "It's my fault." Ivey whispered. "If I blocked her from the light myself, or told her to look out sooner-" she cut her self off turning back to Niall's chest weeping harder. "Don't you dare blame yourself. Alyssa would never forgive you if you did!" CeCe scolded through her own tears.

Ivey's POV

*8 pm*

I watched in horror as the doctor walked in and started to unplug the devises one by one. The last was the oxygen tank. "I'll let you say your goodbyes." He said with a sigh and walked out of the room. Hayley sniffled and gave Alyssa a hug and a kiss on the cheek then ran out of the room crying. Louis smiled sadly and said "We're gunna miss ya kid" holding hand with CeCe who whispered "Thanks for keeping me around." Before dragging Lou out of the room. I ran up and gave her a long hug "I love you Mommy Direction. Make sure to say hi to my cat, Fluffy." I sniffled turning to Niall "Let's give him some privacy." I said referring to Liam. I walked out seeing Zayn awkwardly comforting Mrs.Anselmi. I peaked through the window and watched as Liam kissed Alyssa on the lips, caressing her face with his thumb. Suddenly just like in the Disney Movies her eyes fluttered open.

CeCe's POV

"She's alive" Ivey screamed slamming the door open. "Ivey that's not true come-" I said sadly, but cutting myself off at the end. I felt my eyes widen when I saw Alyssa sitting up looking around the room. "Mrs.Anselmi!" I cried shocked running back into the hallway. "She woke up!" I yelled happily dragging Hayley, who was in denial that what I was saying was true. "Oh my baby!" Meleah cried running to her daughter crying once again, but this time out of joy. Alyssa grinned at her mum squeezing her and saying it was alright. Hayley was currently hugging Ivey grinning at the scene before them. Zayn had grabbed the doctor, who was completely gobsmacked seeing her awake. He checked her vitals and said she seemed to be alright, but then the unexpected came. "Mummy who are all these people?" "Your friends sweetie" Meleah replied confused. "You know Hayley, Ivey, CeCe, Liam, Harry, Louis, Niall, and Zayn. She said pointing to each one of us in turn. Alyssa cocked her head to the side,like a dog, confused. "What year is it Alyssa? How old are you and what grade are you in?" The doctor asked. "Easy!" Alyssa cheered. "It's 2005, I am 10, and I am in 5th grade!" She said. Liam then asked "you don't know who I am babe?" "No, should I?" Alyssa asked. He just nodded and ran out of the room. "We are going to have Alyssa do a few tests. Please wait outside." The doctor informed. Ten agonizing minuets later he came out to talk to us. "Well it seems Alyssa has amnesia. She will regain her memory, but it could take a while." The doctor said. "My best friend doesn't remember me?" Ivey asked sullenly. "I'm afraid not." The doctor replied before walking away. Hayley sniffled frowning. "Come on guys she'll get it back!" I said encouragingly. "Alyssa is fighter and an intelligent girl, we just need to stay strong and be patient!"
