Chapter 17

Hayley's POV

I watched Alyssa was frantically clean her room. Clothes flew through the air landing in the hamper, books and papers were haphazardly stacked on the wooden oak desk, and windows were wiped off in a hurry. "You know you could help." She said frustrated as she rushed around the room. I rolled my eyes and went to make her bed for her. "Dang it!" She yelled. "What's wrong?" I said with a sigh. She walked to her desk and pulled out a maroon case and pulled something out from it, she was turned away so I couldn't see what it was. "I ran out." She mumbled. "Out of what?" I asked confused. She turned around wearing her black and white squarish glasses. "Contacts." She sighed pushing them up her nose. I smiled reassuringly and walked out of the room. The door suddenly opened and in walked One Direction. "BooBear!"CeCe yelled causing Louis to blush. "Hey babe!" Harry said walking over to me. "I missed you so much." I told him giving him a bear hug. "I missed you to." He whispered pecking my lips. I smiled and brought him over to the couch. He sat down with me in his lap, snuggling into him.

Ivey's POV

I looked at Zayn who was staring at the floor. "I'll be right back." I whispered kissing Niall on the cheek. "ZAYNEY!!!!!!!" I yelled tackling him to the floor. He looked shocked but quickly over came it. He hugged me and whispered "Thanks." "You looked lonely." I smiled. He nodded "Perrie is still on tour. And with all the couples in the room it just reminded me of her and how she's not here." He smiled sadly. I hugged him tighter "Hey do you wanna play Mario Cart?" He nodded and I grabbed Niall bringing him with us. "What are we doing?" He asked. "Playing Mario Cart with Zayney!" I cheered. Niall chuckled and grabbed a controller. "I wanna play!" Harry yelled. Zayn handed him a remote saying "You sure cause your going to loose." Harry huffed rolling his eyes. I ended up winning all five races. "In your faces! The lady leprechaun wins!" I shouted throwing my controller on the floor. Niall chuckled and shook his head "This is why I love you." I blushed and skipped off to the kitchen. What? I'm hungry. I put some popcorn in the microwave and set it for 2 minuets. Grabbing a bowl, I stopped the microwave, shook the popcorn, and poured it into the container. I walked back in setting the popcorn on the table so everyone could reach. I felt generous enough to share today.

Alyssa's POV

"Hey want to go for a walk?" Liam asked. I nodded and sat on the hard wood floor pulling on my black vans. He offered his hand to me and pulled me up when I took it. We left walking down the sidewalk in a comfortable silence, our intertwined hands swinging between us. "I missed you." Liam smiled breaking the silence. "I missed you too Li." I said beaming at him. "Did the nightmares continue?" I asked concerned. He tensed and looked away ignoring me. I stopped walking and turned him toward me. "They didn't stop did they." I whispered. He shook his head "They happen only once and a while, but I still get them. Can we not talk about it please." I nodded and pecked him on the lips. We continued walking in silence until we heard something in the distance. "Li what was that?" I asked worried. "Sounds like crying. Come on." He pulled me in the direction he thought it was coming from. As we came closer I saw a small figure hunched over, sitting on the edge of a driveway. Liam and I slowed our pace and walked over to the child. I kneeled down in front of him and whispered "Sweetie what's wrong?" He looked up his golden brown eyes filled with tears. "My mummy and daddy hit me and kicked me owt." He sobbed. I looked at Liam worried. "How old are you honey?" I asked. "Thwee." He said. "Ok baby come with us we're going to help you." He looked at me skeptically "You won't hurt me wight?" He questioned his voice small. "No. We are going to make sure your mom and dad don't hurt you anymore." I reassured him. "What's your name buddy?" Liam asked gently. "Asher." He replied. "Well Asher would you like to go to the park over there while we take care of this?" He smiled and nodded vigorously "Yes pwease!" I bent down and picked him up holding him on my right hip. "Alright come on then." Once we got to the park I set Asher down, and he ran off to play. "Liam can you call authorities, we can't let him go back there." I asked looking at him with tearful eyes. He nodded and dialed 999 explaining our problem. When he was done he turned to me "They said they would be over soon." I smiled and sighed relieved. "Anything else." "Well if what Asher said was true then he will be sent to an orphanage." I looked at Liam with tears in my eyes "I know we haven't been dating that long, but please can we adopt him! I don't want him to have to go through all that." "I don't know baby. Don't you think a child right now will be too much?" Liam responded. "Just think about," I begged. "Please." He nodded and watched Asher as he played on the playground with a big smile on his little face.

CeCe's POV

"I love you Sierra." Louis whispered so he wouldn't disturb the others. I smiled "Love you too Lou." He smiled and kissed my nose making me scrunch it. I kissed him on the cheek and cuddled into his chest, then turned back to the movie. We were watching The Proposal deciding we were in need of a laugh. I giggled as Sandra Bullock chased after a bird desperately asking it to 'take the dog.' The door opened and Alyssa and Liam walked in, a small figure hiding behind Liam's legs. "Come on Asher, nobody will hurt you honey." Alyssa whispered. A little boy peeked around Liam's legs and took in his surroundings. "Who's this little guy?" I asked smiling. "This is Asher Nathaniel Payne. We adopted him." Liam responded smiling down at Asher patting his head. My eyes widened and I looked at Lou who's expression reflected mine, that was unexpected. "CeCe can you help him clean up and put a different shirt on him? Li and I have to go shopping for him." Alyssa asked and I nodded. "Come here bud." I said holding out my hand. He shyly grabbed it and I led him to the bathroom and sat him on the counter. "So, how old are you?" I asked him while wiping his hands with a baby wipe. "Thwee!" He giggled holding up three fingers. I smiled at him "So when we're all done here i'll introduce you to everyone k?" He nodded. "Alright arms up!" He put his arms up and pulled his shirt off. I went to put the other one on when I saw a big black and blue bruise across his tummy. "Hey Lou!" I shouted. "Ya babe?" He said walking in the bathroom. "Look." I said showing him Asher's tummy. "Does it hurt buddy?" Lou asked sweetly. Asher nodded frowning. "CeCe will you get some ice, I'll put his shirt on." Lou said. I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. When I came back I watched him from the door way. "Uncle Louwee?" Asher asked. "Yeah?" Lou responded. "You weally like Auntie CeCe huh?" Lou smiled and nodded. "She woves you too. I see her eyes sparkle when she sees you." Asher told him. Lou grinned. "Your a smart kid ya know that" Asher giggled. "Lou Lou?" "Yes?" "Can we play a game?" Asher asked. Lou nodded helping him off the counter. I cleared my throat so they new I was there. "Here squirt, put this on your tummy." I said handing Asher the ice and ruffling his dirty blonde hair. "And you!" I said turning back to Louis. "You never told me you were good with kids." Lou chuckled. "Well what can I say I have four little sisters. And you know you never told me you were good either." Lou responded his arms wrapped around my waist, mine around his neck. "You know you'll make a good mum." He said. "Oh yeah?" I asked "Mhmm" he responded. I giggled and kissed him on the lips. "Let's not worry about that for a while." I said kissing him again. "Uncle Louwee! I wanna pway!!!" Asher whined. Lou pulled away from our embrace kissing my nose before going off with Asher.
