Sollux was to tired to remember much of the trip to Meulins cabin, and pay no mind to her overly excited attitude, only giving her the essential greetings and carrying his things to his room. The cabin home was extremely dark save from the moonlight seeping in from the windows. The only sounds being the silent chatter of Simon and Meulin as they carry things inside and thumb of Mituna's suitcase as he dragged it through the doorway. Sollux stood in front of the patio door in the middle room upstairs looking over the waters and frowning. Silent arms wrap around him and it makes him tense. Mituna rests his head on Sollux's shoulder silently and Sollux has to wonder how he didn't hear him come up the stairs. They were never his strong suit. He say nothing leaning slightly into the warmth sleepily. He says nothing when Simon comes up the stairs and Mituna jumps away seemingly realizing what he was doing.

Sollux glares silently at his father, said man giving him an apologetic glance and helping Mituna pick a room diagonally across from Sollux's. Sollux chooses to say nothing about this as well and returns to his chosen room unpacking his laptop and laying in bed. Without warning Sollux's eyes began to shut and he slept. The stars danced throughout the night.
Mituna looked over to his father with a smile, and Simon mirrored the gesture, only now realizing just how much his oldest son shared some of his features. Including his teeth, before he had them fixed so he could rid of that god awful lisp of his. He remembers Mituna before the accident claiming he would keep it. It had something to do with Sollux loving the sound.

Neither of the two men said anything to eachother, but decided to sit on the couch while the tv played a show that neither of them pay any attention to. They both just wonder what was in store.

When the sun arose, everyone roused from their slumber but Sollux just shifted dragging the covers with him refusing the sunlight, ignoring the sounds of birds singing goodmorning. Breakfast passed without his knowing. Simon Captor set the meal outside his door, and Mituna just stare from his perch on the couch and the wooden barrier. The week passed in similar schedule, each passing day all of those who stay in the cabin would stay in longer, the weather growing colder. Sollux had only bothered with showering once or twice that week.

"Thimon? why ithn't Thollux coming out?"
"He misses someone, Mituna."
"Why doethn't he jutht talk to him then?"
"...He doesn't know how."

Kurloz was the only one Sollux allowed into his room. Though his silence was unerving, the comforting notes across pages made him feel better. Sollux knew he shouldn't be so sad, he was thankful for his brother being alive, he was thankful for his family, but he couldn't let go. Sollux kept each and every note in his pillowcase for the bad days. In two weeks time, Sollux came out of his room again. Everyone's spirits were up at dinner.
