Silverkits eyes widened. "What!? Mom will get mad if she-"
Amberkit had placed her tail in her mouth to shut her up. "I said quiet.. now, are you coming or not?"
Silverkit shook her head, following after her as she headed out the den. Appearing in the clearing, her jaw slowly dropped at the starlit sky and roaming fireflies, her gaze shifting to her sister who wasn't even paying attention.
Instead, Amberkit was more focused on the den near a large boulder, in which was surrounded in vines and shrubs. Watching her dart over to the den entrance, she followed quietly.
"Ok Amberkit, you got to come outside, now, can we go back inside the nursery now? I don't want to get in trouble," She whispered.
Amberkit smirked, and glanced back at Silverkit. "Are you kidding? There's no way I'm going back inside until I find out who is snoring so loudly!" She replied while crouching at the den entrance.
Silverkit sat in the clearing, and watched her disappear into the darkness after she had entered the den.
Just wait until we get caught. We'll have to wait longer to become apprentices probably!
"Whoa, Silverkit! C'mere! He's huge!" Silverkit heard her sister call out in a whispering tone.
Silverkit became interested and let curiousity get the best of her. Trotting into the den smoothly, she glanced around, squinting her eyes as she could barely see.
Though it was faintly dark, the only thing she could see was her sisters pelt, so she walked toward it, hoping she wouldn't step on anything.
Withoug a doubt, she tripped over a small pebble, amd fell not onto the ground, but something large, it's fur sticking all in her face.
"Now look at what you did, you could've woke him up," She heard her sister say. Although, the fur began to move as well as the thing beneath her, in which shot open a bright orange eye.
Silverkit fell off, and ran out in fear, breathing heavily while she heard growling, which had a cracked voice a bit. Turning around, she saw a massive shadow and two orange eyes from her spot, seeing the feline get closer, her pelt pricking as she noticed it held Amberkit in its mouth, whom was dangling limply.
Though, the growling stoppes in suprise and the feline dropped Amberkit, who shook off her pelt and gave a cheesy grin at the stranger.
"Sorry, for waking you up," She apologized.
"Yea, sorry," Silverkit said as well, watching the feline lower its head, hearing a chuckle coming from it.
"No need to be sorry. I'm actually glad I get to finally se you two up front in person," He replied, his twisted whiskers flicking.
Amberkit perked up. "Oh, really? Then who're you?"
"My name is Brokenstar. I am the supreme leader of this clan, your clan, named ShadowClan," He replied.
Amberkit smiled, and so did Silverkit. Though, Amberkit let out a chuckle as well. "So, you're our father? Awesome! I was afraid our father would be some weird looking freak, but you're awesome!"
"You two must be Silverkit and Amberkit, am I right?" He asked, lashing his crooked tail about.
Both nodded.
"Ah, but, does your motherknow you're out here?"
Amberkit shook her head. "No, we um, we snuck out."
Brokenstar scoffed. "And who's idea was that?" He seemed a little upset.
Silverkit instantly turned to look at Amberkit, as Brokenstar quickly knew it was Amberkit, with the fact she was hanging her head in shame.
"Sounds like something I would do as a kid. You certainly take after me, your personality shows it," He said, laughing to himself quietly.
Amberkit looked up at him in confusion. "You mean you aren't mad or anything?"
He shook his head in reply. "No. I think I'll take my chances getting to know my eldest child better."
Silverkit began to feel a tad bit depressed as he cancelled her out, though she pretended not to be affected.
Amberkit grinned in joy, giggling. "Does this mean I don't have to go back to the nursery just yet?"
Silverkit watched him nod yet once again in reply, in which she spoke up. "What about me?"
"Oh come on Silverkit, I thought you were more of a fan of mom?" Her sister snickered.
Brokenstar smiled and laughed before standing up, walking away with Amberkit following close behind.
What just happened?
Come sunrise, Silverkit was back in the nursery den when Amberkit stumbled back in rolling down the dirt and landing in her stomach in front of her sister. "Ow," She moaned.
"Where have you been? You were gone the entire night!" Silverkit exclaimed.
"Yes, that's what I would like to know too," Ashenfoot sat beside Silverkit, her tone obviously signaling her anger.
"I was just with Brokenstar, that's all! It was fun! He told me all about the clan and- and- stuff!" She replied, smiling widely.
"Just exactly did he tell you about the clan?" Ashenfoot's anger grew like weeds on a rainy day.
Silverkit perked up a bit, beginning to feel guilty. "Mom, it wasn't her fault, it was mi-"
"Leave my daughter be, you've no right to argue with someone who will outrank you," The recognizable voice from the previous night proclaimed, whoms figure appeared as he stepped in a bit.
"And just what right do you have letting my daughter break my rules!" Ashenfoot stomped the ground.
Silverkit darted over to Darkenedkit, who was shaking in fear.
"You leave him be! I went out on my own and you won't yell at him because of it! He's my father, not your puppet!" Amberkit stalked beside her father, standing beside him, proud her actions. "Your pathetic threats were lies, you only wanted us to behave!"
Ashenfoot snarled, leaning down and glaring at her daughter. "I was only doing that to protect you from how horrible kits in ShadowClan are treated these days! But if you want to disobey your own mother and get yourself ripped to shreds than be my guest!" She huffed, and stormed out.
