Silverkit yawned as she woke in the nursery, slowly peeking an eye open. As she went to  she stopped once her eyes had gazed opon her shoulder.

Oh, right. Yellowfang did say I should take it easy.

Getting up, she stretched until seeing the nursery was clean of cats, except for Darkenedkit, who lay in their mothers nest not too far from herself. By the way he breathed, she could tell he must be in a deep slumber.

Amberkit probably trained him to death. We're not even apprentices, what is she thinking?

With weary eyes she looked around for her mother, who she found sitting next to Stumpytail while a half eaten vole lay at their paws. Sharing prey with other members of the clan was always welcomed, as well as sharing tongues.

Going over to join her, she stopped in her tracks midway when one of the apprentices, Brownpaw, rushed past in front of her with moss in his jaws. One thing she wasn't looking forward to in becoming an apprentice was taking care of the elders. Yuck.

"Hey, didn't know you were Blindkit! Could'a told me sooner," Silverkit could hear the familiar squabble from her littermate across the clearing.

Grunting half heartedly, she walked over to her as the scene from yesterday flashed within her mind. Though, she kept polite and if she showed any sign of ignorance,  Amberkit didn't seem to notice.

"Yea, I guess I should've watched out.. sorry," she apologized, wanting the subject of being clumsy far away into the past.

"So, um.. I'm sorry about yesterday, I didn't think it was that hard of a blow.. heh, I must be stronger than I think!" The cream pelted kit giggled a bit, yet seemed to be engulfed in her own compliment.

"Yea.. I guess you are pretty strong." Silverkit mewed in reply.

Being a warrior isn't all about being strong.

"You.. okay? You're staring at rocks, Silverkit."

"Huh? Y-yeah, I'm fine!" Silverkit perked up, realizing she must still be tired. Or maybe she just was too deep in thought about something else. Whatever it was- had her distracted.

As she turned her back, she curled up in a ball as she felt herself picked up. "Bath time, whether you like it or not," the ashen colored queen purred through clumps of kit fur, heading back into the nursery.

"Goodluck with that!" Amberkit called after them.

With a grunt, Ashenfoot seemed to also meow out.

"Oh, I'll be back for you later."

Since she had nothing better to do, Silverkit headed to the medicine cat den to see if she could lass time by helping the gray persian. "Yellowfang?"

"I'm over here!" She could hear the she-cat call from the herb storage in the far back of the den.

"You don't mind if I help, do you?" Silverkit rushed over, wanting to help.

She watched as Yellowfang hurried into the nursery, a little confused as she followed, waiting for a reply.

But as she entered the den, she stopped in her tracks.

Brightflower was having her kits!
