Gilmore Girls- The Truth about Lorelai

~chapter seven~

Lukes POV
It's 7Am and a Tuesday and I wake up to Lorelai still asleep with her head resting on my chest. I smile softly and I rub her arm and Lorelai groans a bit. "Lore" I say quietly and she hums in reply not really waking up. "Luke?" She asks moving a little bit but I don't let her move so she lays her head back down on my chest. "Lorelai I heard what you told me last night" I inform and she sits up a bit and faces me. "What?" She asks. "You told me you love me" I tell her and she gives me a worried look. She tries to say something but she cannot say anything she's speechless. "Lore, I love you too" I state and she widens her eyes. I put both of my hands on her face and pull her into a kiss full of love. After kissing we pull away and Lorelai smiles and lays back down and places her head on my chest and holds my hand. "Lorelai?" I say and she hums and nods. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask and she sits up and kisses me. "Yes Luke! I do" she admits happily and hugs me. "Ouch... ouch... ouch" she winced as she lays flat on her back next to me. "Lore?" I ask worried. "My stomach burns" Lorelai informs me as she's breathing through the pain. I lift up the her shirt so I can see the cut where she had her surgery and I cant see any blood through the bandages so I put her shirt back down and pull the covers over her and I kiss her head. "There's no bleeding it's okay" I say and I check my watch. "Oh time for your medication" I say as I get put of bed and get her medication from the kitchen. I pop two pills out and I get a glass of water. I walk back over to Lorelai and I pass her them. "Thank y-you" Lorelai says as she's in pain and she swallows the tablets. "What time is it?" Lorelai asks. "7:45am" I inform her as I am getting into my day clothes. "I h-have to go to work" Lorelai says as she trying to sit up but I walk over to her and don't let her sit up. "No Lore lay back down, your still recovering from your surgery, you cannot go to work, I think it's best if your on bed rest today" I order and she gives me a offended look. "No I am a strong independent, pretty woman and I do not need to stay in bed, staying in bed is for losers" She states to me and I chuckle a bit. "Yes you are, but how about if I move the TV into here?" I suggest and she smirks. "And ice cream?" Lorelai cheekily suggests and I smile. "Of course" I say and I walk over to her and we kiss again and I kiss her forehead.

Lorelai's POV

As I'm sitting in bed I get really strong waves of pain in my lower stomach from the surgery and I squirm in pain. "Is the pain still bad?" Luke asks me and I nod with tears in my eyes. "Hey come here its okay, the medication will hopefully kick in soon why don't I call the hospital and tell them that your having bad pains still?" Luke asks as he is hugging me. "o-okay" I agree and I lay back down and turn on the TV as Luke goes over to the phone.

Lukes POV

I go over to the phone and I call the doctor that was dealing with Lorelai.

The phone call-

Luke- Hello is this Dr Kellin?

Doctor- yes it sure is, may I ask who this is?

Luke- Its me Luke Danes, I was the person with Lorelai Gilmore when she was staying at the hospital.

Doctor- Yes hello Luke Danes I remember, is everything alright?

Luke- I just wanted to call you because I'm a bit worried about Lorelai.

Doctor- Oh alright, what's wrong?

Luke- This morning she's woken up with a severe burning sensation in her stomach and she's in quite bad pain from it.

Doctor- could you ask her how exact it feels like?

Luke- yeah sure *walks over to Lorelai*

(The doctor can hear this)

"Lorelai darling what kind of pain is it? could you explain it a bit more" Luke asks as Lorelai pauses the film. "I...uh.. well. the pain Is a kind of burning in my lower stomach and it feels like I'm being stabbed it also stings" Lorelai informs Luke and he nods at her and puts the phone back up to his ear.

Back on the phone call-

Luke- Did you hear that Doc?

Doctor- I did and I'm going to need you to come to the hospital as soon as possible so I can do a examination because she could be bleeding internally from a complication that could have happened in the surgery or we may have missed something.

Luke- Okay what time is best to come to the hospital?

Doctor- 10am is best for me

Luke- right I will see you at 10AM and thank you

Doctor- That's okay and see you soon.

Rorys POV

I'm at school and I'm really worried about mum. I go and sit down at my desk in my English class. I cant concentrate so I look out of the window. "Rory, you seem to be in your own world" Mr Medina says and I look over to him and the whole class is looking at me. "Please could I have a moment outside?" I ask and he nods "I will come out and speak to you in a minute" He says so I stand up and walk out of the classroom and I stand in the hallway outside of the classroom door. I take deep breaths and I take my phone out of my pocket and phone my mum.

Lorelai's and Rory's call-

Rory- Mum are you okay

Lorelai- Hey s-sweetie yeah I'm fine don't worry about me

Rory- *Mr Medina walks out of the classroom and sees that Rory is on her phone and he looks a bit cross* Well mum I am worried about you

Lorelai- Please don't be, you need to be focusing on different stuff, w-why are you calling me now anyways? don't you have class now

Rory- *Looks at Mr Medina and looks back at the display wall as she's talking* Yeah I have Mr Medina but I just asked to be excused and stand outside.

Lorelai- oh d-dear you have Max (Max and Lorelai dated for a bit a while ago)

Rory- sadly *laughs a bit*

Lorelai- well you better go back to class now, and I need to go to the hospital again at 10am

Rory- what mum why is everything okay?

Lorelai- I'm just having bad pains again but its nothing for you to be concerned about

Rory- okay well umm I will phone you at lunch

Lorelai- Okay honey, I love you

Rory- I love you so much and please tell the doctor the truth about how your feeling

Lorelai- I will hun

Rory- Okay bye mum

Lorelai- Bye bye

Rory's POV

I put my phone back in my pocket. "Rory why was you on your phone? you know that's against the rules" Mr Medina says and crosses his arms. "yeah I'm sorry, I just phoned my mum because I was worried about her" I say. Max (Mr Medina) looks at me concerned. "is everything okay? is Lorelai alright" He asks genuinely worried and I take a deep breath. "she's been in the hospital and had surgery but that's all I can tell you because she would kill me if she knew I told you" I tell him and he nods. "yeah your mum is secretive like that" He admits with a sigh. "yep" I say trying to close this conversation. "alright well I'm going to go back into class now but when your ready come back in" He says and walks into the classroom and I sit on a chair in the hallway and take out my book and start to read to distract my self.
