The rest of the evening was quiet, to say the least. A veil of sadness draped itself over the cottage, and everyone in it. Even Oscar and Cesar felt it, and they skulked off to their beds, whining that something was wrong, and that they didn't like it one bit. The brave faces and forced smiles couldn't hide it either. Hands were clutched by other hands in passing, and eyes caught other sorrowful eyes. Dinner was ordered in from La Petit Canard, The Little Duck, it was Larry's and Laurent's favourite restaurant now. French food, just hours before returning to France.
Immediately after dinner, Larry and Avery decided they suddenly felt very tired, and needed to go to bed. Tomorrow would be a long and stressful day, Larry told them, so he needed to get some rest. Both boys gave Beth and extra long, extra tight hug tonight,
"In case I forget tomorrow" Larry stared into Beth's beautiful amber eyes for a second longer than he normally would, close to her face, intruding on her personal space, as he hugged her waist, and his fingers pushed back her hair.
"Thank you, Beth. For everything." He reached out beside him for Avery's hand. "For everything."
"I'm sure you're welcome" She raised an eyebrow at her son, who shyly smiled back at her. Larry and Avery joined hands, walking up the wide carpeted stairs together, probably for the last time.

Avery kicked his bedroom door closed with his foot as he smashed his lips against Larry's, urgently pulling him into him by his collar.
"Top" he told Larry between hard and rough kisses.
"No ! I wanna top ... "
"You topped last time .... "
"Does it matter ? Are we gonna do this only once ?" Avery gave him that look. "Nah, didn't think so ..." They both hurriedly undressed each other, exchanging more than heated kisses, wet and sloppy, teeth clashing. Clothes were torn from each others' bodies without concern, thrown somewhere, they didn't care, on the floor. They each had their own side of Avery's bed now, they had shared it so often. Every day and every night for weeks now. Larry had felt bad occasionally for leaving Laurent on his own. It was Lau that Larry usually went to, to cling to for comfort and familiarity and warmth in the dark. But Laurent spent a lot of his time with Beth now anyway. And now it was Avery he went to. And tonight, it would be the last time, at least for the forseeable future. In his heart and in his gut, as tears pricked behind his eyes, and his fingertips traced the outline of Avery's lips, he could not, would not, let go of this man.
Soft yearning kisses gave way to passionate, all consuming ones, as hands roamed backs and sides and ass cheeks. Hips and erections ground into one another wantonly, and at a frenzied pace, as breaths caught and agonized moans filled the air. Avery got his wish, as he pushed himself into Larry slowly, deliciously, heavenly. As Avery settled balls deep into Larry's velvet heat, they stilled. The dim lamp light cast their shadows to a far wall, and over each others' faces. Touching, caressing each others skin, as eyes flitted over each other's face, like it was the last time they would see such a vision in front of them, drinking one another in.
"I love you."
"Je t'aime aussi"
Larry lifted his legs to Avery's waist, pulling him in closer, deeper, planting his head back into the pillow, feelings now overwhelming his body and senses, as Avery loved him into the mattress. The sound of their love, every sound, every moan, groan, gasp, sigh and slap echoed around the room like some kind of passionate love song, a symphony of lust and want and need. As they came within seconds of one another, trying to place their open mouthed almost kisses, forcing their eyes open to watch the other fall into the most perfect abyss, the others' complete and utter undoing at their hand. Panting, smiling, licking parched lips, Larry's eyes could not leave Avery's.
