"Does anyone have bug spray?"

"Yeah, I think I packed some." Lucy rummaged through her duffel bag before pulling out a small green spray bottle and tossed it to Evangeline. She clumsily caught it between her palms and started to walk towards the door so she could spray it on outside. In the meanwhile, I took off my shorts and slipped on some grey sweatpants to protect my legs from the savage forest bugs.

"Does anyone else want some?" Evangeline asked peeking her head through the door frame.

"I want some?" Hana exclaimed slipping on her white shoe before heading out to meet the curly-haired brunette who was handing her the bottle. Not even a few seconds later, we could hear a coughing fit coming from Hana who had apparently inhaled the spray from her mouth and started panicking before Lucy reassured her that she would probably be fine. "Probably!?"  The Asian girl retorqued unsatisfied with the blond's answer.

After dumping the rest of my clothes back into my bag and pushing it to the far end of the bed, I went outside to spray some bug spray on my exposed neck and my clothes, making sure to not repeat Hana's mistake.

"You girls make your way to the campfire, I'll join you in a bit. I have some things to take care of first." Bunny said zipping up her oversized polo. "Okay" we answered in unison.

"So... Does anyone know where the fire camp is?" I asked.

"Well I'm not sure but maybe we should follow the others." Lucy pointed to the group of campers following a certain direction.

We walked in silence as I took in the details of the environment. The dirt path going inside the forest was filled with many bushes and trees sprouting beautiful green leaves. To my right, I could see the bottom of the hill and the main cabins. I kicked small pebbles as I walked and shooed any mosquito that was getting too close to my liking.

The fire camp was a rather large cleared area with rows of long wooden benches facing a large fire pit. A small wooden stage was built on the opposing side of the fire pit, some portable theatre curtains were installed on it indicating that the staff had probably prepared something for us.

We all sat together on the second row of benches. The place was already almost filled to the brim and the people were participating in some quiet chatter. Hana was talking to Evangeline and Lucy was bent down, tying her laces while I watched the cripple of the small fire, burning in the pit as if there were small dancers amongst the flames. Soft music with a fantasy feel to it started playing from a Bluetooth that was speaker placed on the border of the stage, gave the atmosphere a magical sense to it. Smoke started spilling in between our feet from behind the trees earning soft gasps and giggles from the campers. Many were getting anxious to know what was reserved for us tonight.

Angel stepped out from behind the green velvety curtains, her cabin cheering her on as she appeared. She was holding a microphone and her blind locks that were once loose were now tied in a low ponytail. She stalked to the right corner of the stage and stood there, glancing at the pine green curtains waiting for her cue. She slowly brought the mic to her lips, her acrylics making a clicking sound against the plastic as she adjusted her grip on the object.

"Mountain peak summer camp has been here for many years'' she started, lacking the enthusiasm that a narrator would usually have. " It has gone through many events, stories and adventures. But every time new campers arrive, we welcome them with the stories of the forest." As smoke continued to spill in, monitors with cloaths and animal and forest themed masks, stepped through the curtains swaying their legs and arms as they walked to replicate the demeanour of spirits.
