Miss ordinary

1 | last day

Here I was in math class desperately waiting for the bell to ring to go  celebrate the last day of school at DQ(dairy queens) with my close friends and later on meet up with the rest of our class friends at the Valleyview mall.

My main friend group consisted of ; Nathalie, the smartest one - Kimberly, the one that most of the time looks like she's on crac (don't worry she just looks the part she isn't actually on crac) - Melody, our personal therapist and Irina, the mom friend.

Who was I in the friend group you may ask? Well, I'm the hopeful romantic that has boy problems.

It's not like I want to have that kind of problem it's just because my emotions are really confusing. Did it ever happen to you, thinking you like someone and getting involved with them to later on realize that you didn't actually have feelings for them? Well, me yes.

Once the clock struck 2:50, the bell rang and everybody rushed out of class to go home or to other locations with their friends. You see, this part of the year is almost like a game of « Try not to get killed by a bunch of impatient students ».

After taking all my stuff, I went outside with Melody and Irina to join them while they waited for the rest of our friends.

They came to join us after a few minutes and we started to make our way toward DQ.

"What are you guys planning to do this summer ?" Melody piped up putting her arm around Kim. " I'll be going back to France to see my grandma for a month and then I'll go to my scouts camp in Ontario for 2 weeks" Natalie answered. "Hey actually I'm also going to a summer camp for a week in Toronto before moving in with my new stepdad" I added.
"Do you know if you're going to have any siblings and if your last name will change?" Irina asked me whilst holding onto my arm like the mother she is. "Well... he has a son called Jay and my new family name will be Montoya" I responded. " I wonder what he'll be like" Melody added. "Yeah same, I just hope he's not a troublemaker" I wished.

Once inside the DQ, half of us went to go get a table and the other half went to get ourselves a place in the waiting line to order.

I got myself an Oreo blizzard, Melo and Kim decided to share a triple chocolate brownie with ice cream on top and Nat and Irina just went with a classic vanilla and chocolate ice cream cone.

I threw myself on my queen sized bed  in comfy bee shorts and my sport bras. For most girls, bras are uncomfortable but they never bothered me, actually I find them quite comfortable.

I lay there going over what happened today. We had some fun time at the mall with everyone. We took group pictures and even some of the older kids we befriended back in the 7th grade joined us.

I got to spend time with Shayla's friend group, some time with Diego's gang and let's not forget some of the new friends I've made this year such as Jiyoo and Emma.

Before turning the lights of to go to sleep, I read a chapter in the series of books « the shadow hunters » that I've lately been obsessed with and I slowly drifted off in a deep slumber.
