His parents were the ones who told me his favorite band and that he'd never been to one of their concerts. He'd never been to any concert since he didn't have the money for it. Though, I should have guessed due to the posters of them all over his ceiling.

The night I drove him to go see it, I kept him blindfolded with a tie the whole time. I don't normally do things like this for people but I wanted to see him happy. And beat him.

"How much longer, it's been an hour." He groaned and crossed his arms. "This blindfold is starting to bug me."

"It's been thirty minutes." I rolled my eyes and pulled into the parking lot. "Now when I'm gonna set something in your hand and take the blindfold off, okay?"

"Is it your dick?"

"It's not." I placed the passes and tickets I'd bought online in his open hand and untied the blindfold from his face.

"I'm scared to look down. Did you get me bookmarks."

"No."

"Wow." He looked out the window and at all the cars and people around us. "That's a lot of people."

"Look at your hand."

He hesitantly looked down at his hand and read over the tickets, his eyes widening when he realized what they were. "Oh my god....Shuji are you serious?!" He looked back at me. "You didn't just print these out and-"

"No. I actually bought them. And we're here."

"Oh my god." He covered his mouth, tears pricking his eyes as he stared at me. "I don't believe you. You're pranking me- how much was this?!"

"Doesn't matter how much it cost. Now get out of the car, we should go inside. We're kinda early so the line isn't so long."

He got out of the car before I did, but once I was out, he ran to my side and hugged me so fast that my head spun. "Thank you! I could kiss you right now!"

"Yeah? What's stopping you?" I lifted his chin and wiped the tears streaming down his cheeks, watching them turn red. "Nobody's watching us."

I was only trying to fluster him but when he actually stood on his toes and kissed me, it was me who wound up nervous.

He didn't just peck my lips either, he full on wrapped his arms around my neck and shoved his tongue in my mouth.

I can't let him fluster me. I grabbed his wrists and pulled them from my neck, pinning them against the side of my car and taking the lead. I'm not sure if he was nervous or happy about it.

When I pulled back, I noticed a couple people had been watching. He pulled his wrist from me and grabbed the collar of my shirt. "For the record, I prefer people watching." He whispered in my ear before walking off toward the doors. "Come on!"

He was bouncing in his seat by the time we got in and throughout the concert, he sang along with every lyric. Though, since I don't understand English very well I didn't know what he was saying.

"Shuji! You should sing with everyone, it's fun!" He grabbed my hand and spoke to me.

"I don't sing."

"Come on, nobody can hear you anyway!"

"No." I pulled my hand from his and draped an arm around his shoulder.

"Fine. Just sit there and look pretty then."

I've been told you never forget your first kiss. It's actually true. I never forgot. Not even for the first few hours after it happened.

I was flustered thinking about it through the whole concert and even when I took him out for ice cream afterwards.

He sat in front of me, eating mint ice cream with a green spoon. "You know... you bittersweet."

"Oh yeah? Thought I was plain bitter."

"Oh my god, hi!" A girl with bright red hair ran over to us. "I saw you two at the concert, I wanted to ask if I could get your numbers. If we like the same band, we should be friends!"

"I don't know the band, I just tagged along." I shrugged.

"Don't mind him, he's a jerk. Got a pen?"

"Yeah!" She pulled a pen from her back pocket. He took it and grabbed her wrist, writing his number and my own on the back of her hand.

"Here. He's on bottom."

"I heard that." I glared at him, to which they both laughed.  I rolled my eyes.

"Can I take a picture with you guys? You're so cute together."

"I don't know, you up for a photo Shuji?"

"Yeah whatever."

She took a photo with us and went on her way, allowing me to take him back to my place so he could meet my family.

"You're back late! Did you two have fun?" My mom greeted us at the door before we could even knock.

"Yeah! It was awesome!" He replied to her before I could, pulling me inside. "Are your siblings here?"

"Mhm."

"Can I meet them?"

"Can you three come down here!" I called up to them from the bottom of the stairs. They all came down together, Yuki tackling Adam in a hug.

"Adam! It's great to see you when you're not all blurry!"

"You too, Yuki."

"This is Riko, and this is Tamiko." I pointed to each of the younger siblings as Riko hid behind Yuki. Tamiko walked over to him instantly.

"Your hair is green."

"It is!" He smiled back at her.

"Can I touch it?"

"Sure!" He got down on one knee and lowered his head so she could touch his hair.

"Okay." I yanked him back to his feet like a dog on a leash. "I need to take him home so say bye."

"Aw but I wanna stay! They're so cute!"

"I agreed you could meet them, not hang out with them."

"Bye bye." Riko waved to him as I dragged him back to the car.

"Your family's so nice, why aren't you?" He asked as we got in the car.

"I am nice."

"You don't show it."
