Author's POV
Jungkook had locked himself in the bedroom because of all the shouting that came from downstairs. "Kookie, he's gone now, please let us in." Taehyung pleaded with a soft knock. "T-tae hyungie?" Jungkook called out. "Yeah kook, it's me." Taehyung said. Jungkook got up and opened the door. "He is taking me back, isn't he?" Jungkook whispered, looking down. "No kook, we shooed him away." Taehyung said. "Jungkook?!" A new voice said from behind taehyung.
No, actually, it wasn't a new voice for Jungkook. He had heard it earlier. He had actually grown up around that voice.
"Jinnie Hyung?" It felt like the name came out automatically out of his mouth. "You both already know each other?" Taehyung asked, looking back and forth between Jin and jungkook. "We do." Jin said, still trying to digest the fact it was his jungkook. The youngest in the room immediately tackled him in a hug and started crying in his arms again.
"Bunny, shh, he's gone now." Jin said, trying to sooth the younger by rubbing circles on his back. "H-hyungie I w-was so s-scared..." The younger cried. "I know you were bud. Wanna tell Hyung who he was?" Jin asked, gently distancing himself from jungkook so he could see his face and wipe his tear stained cheeks.
"... I am still here, guys..." Taehyung said, looking confused. "I guess we all have something to explain each other. But first, let me help jungkook clean up." Jin said, lightly patting Jungkook's cheek once he was sure there were no more tears coming. Both jungkook and taehyung nodded. "I guess I'll make us all coffee then-" tae was cut off by Jin. "He likes hot chocolate more. Am I right, gguk?" The older omega asked.
"Mhm." Jungkook said, agreeing. "I've been with him for the last few months and you make me feel like I don't even know him." Taehyung grumbled as he walked to the little kitchen area.
"Let's get you washed up, ok?" Jin said, guiding jungkook to the bathroom. The older omega helped jungkook wash his face and change into something cleaner as he was still wearing the same clothes from last night. Meanwhile, taehyung made two mugs of coffee and one hot chocolate for Jungkook. He was obviously curious about Jin and Jungkook's relationship. But, he was happy he and the others were able to push SiWoo away too.
But he still had many questions. Why did Jungkook's parents engage him to a guy like SiWoo? Why did SiWoo hate jungkook so much? And why did something as trivial as not being able to pick up a call trigger SiWoo so much that he came all the way to the college to take jungkook back? In other words, Taehyung needed to talk to Jungkook.
With these thoughts in mind, he placed the drinks on the coffee table in the living room couch and settled down. Smiling, as he remembered the first day jungkook came into the dorm. He was so shy and reserved back then. Taehyung had helped him out of his shell. Maybe not completely, but to a certain extent. He made him a tad bit more confident in himself as well as in front of the other hyungs.
"Tae?" Jin's voice rang through his ears. "Yeah?" He asked. "I have been calling your name for the past 2 minutes. What were thinking about?" Jin asked, sitting besides him. "Nothing... Where's kook?" Taehyung asked. "He's changing in the bathroom. I decided to give him some privacy." Jin said.
"Oh. So, how do you know him?" The beta asked. "Well." Jin began.
"Me and him went to the same school when we were younger. He used to be really shy and reserved back then." Jin smiled. "He was still in middle school when I first met him. I was in... High school, I think. He was getting bullied that day by some of my class mates. They were all alphas and we're doing it in the boys washrooms. Jungkook looked so scared and vulnerable back then. I couldn't help but protect him. Those disgusting people were clawing at his shirt when I found him! God knows what they might have done if I wasn't fast enough!" Jin exclaimed. Pausing and taking a breath before continuing as Taehyung listened attentively.
"After that day, I took him to my parents house. You know they were never home. So they didn't even question me. He was scared to the bone for the next few days. He kept crying and telling me how he didn't want this. Later, I found out that the guys had been torturing him for about a year. I talked to him, trying to get him to report the guys who bullied him. But he kept saying things like "I am an omega Hyung, I deserve this." or "hyungs they will never stop." And you already know I don't tolerate that bullshit. I kept trying to coax him into telling me what exactly was wrong and why he didn't want to report his bullies but I never really got an answer out." Jin said, ruffling his own hair in a frustrated manner.
"I was still a highschooler back then. Of course I couldn't understand things. It was obviously his parents who were filling him up with shit like this. Forcing him into the stereotypical mold of an omega. But it was too late when I realised it. One day when both of were at school and were having lunch in the canteen, his parents came to pick him up. He looked so uncomfortable that day while leaving... I should've figured it out sooner... But before I knew it... He was gone. I never saw him at school again. I asked his class mates but they didn't know a thing either.
That... That was basically when I understood that some omegas have it way harder on themselves than I ever did. I used to think I had a bad childhood cause my parents always ignored me when I was younger... But after seeing jungkook... I wanted to do something to change this. I wanted to change people's perspective and their behaviour towards male omegas." Jin sighed, feeling tears brimming his eyes.
Jungkook had also came into the room at some point during the conversation, if you could even call it that. The youngest hugged Jin close. As Taehyung looked at the two with a sympathetic yet shocked look on his face.
"H-how did you recognise each other when you met just now? It's been years, hasn't it?" Taehyung asked, still shocked. "It has." Jin agreed. "But I met kookie when his scent was the highest. Of course I memorised it." "Jin Hyung has been one of the most important people in my life. I could never forget his face or his actions." Jungkook added, still hugging Jin.
"Kookie, we have so much to catch up to." Jin murmered under his breath.
