"Ginny, we have to evacuate this place," Ron said. "The thing we are looking for is in the Room of Requirement but the room can't transform while there are still users inside it."
"But where can we gather all these people in?" Ginny freaked out.
"Well, it won't last long. You may come after we are done. But during that time period, you need to take care of yourselves, I'm really sorry," Ron replied. He wasn't fond of the idea, either. He knew his sister was underage and didn't want anything bad happening to her but there was no other choice.
Neville plunged forward. "I think everyone should go to their Common Rooms while you mind your business here. Ron, exactly how long will it take?"
"No idea," Ron said. "But at least an hour."
"Okay, we can handle it," Ginny replied and informed people about the situation by leading them to the door.
"Neville, I need you to take care of Ginny," Ron whispered to Neville. "She is underage, you know..."
"Don't worry, I will," Neville assured him. "But she already is really tough. I know we will be okay."
Ron nodded and turned towards Luna. "Let's go," he said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Ron, I think a door is opening on the wall," said Luna. Ron couldn't believe his eyes. It was the Room of Requirement with a different door. When they entered the room, they saw it was full of desks and wardrobes.
"I think it really is another version of the Room of Requirement," Luna spotted out.
"Luna, it's best that we split up. I'll look around here, okay?"
"That makes sense. Just call me if you find something," she said just as she went away.
Where can it be? Where can it be? thought Ron while he was walking around. Then, the Sneakoscope in his pocket hissed. Ron knew that it hissed when something dark was around. He knew that he was coming closer.
It started hissing so loudly when he had reached a wardrobe. There was a book near a box inside. When he turned it, he saw This book is the property of the Half Blood Prince writing at the back cover..
Isn't this the book Harry used last year? Ron thought, baffled. And then, he recalled what Harry had told him: He had put the book inside a wardrobe, and inside it was a box with a tiara. Can it be this box? Can the diadem be inside this?
He opened the box and saw an elegant shiny crown with an eagle symbol carved on it. It was incredibly beautiful, and he felt sorry that this beautiful thing was cursed with dark magic.
"Luna, I think I found-"
As Ron turned around, he saw Luna's head under Crabbe's arms. Next to him was Goyle, and of course, Draco.
"Where do you think you are going, Weasley?" Draco demanded. Ron changed his voice.
"What are you talking about? I am Dregmoir Despard. I serve the Dark Lord just as-"
"Oh, just shut up! I know who you are, but I was not expecting to find you with this loony, though. It seemes like you have just found your true equal," Draco continued, laughing. So now you are talking, huh? I really wonder why your mouth was shut in your own house, Ron wondered but held himself.
"Let go of her," Ron asked calmly. Draco, Crabbe and Goyle didn't seem to care a bit.
"Of course not. Not until you tell us where the hell Potter is," said Malfoy.
"I don't know," Ron lied.
"Don't lie to us! You left the Manor with them. We know it!"
"Well, why didn't you sell us out, then Draco? If you knew who we were? Why didn't you tell it was Harry Potter, then?" Ron teased him, trying to distract and earn some time.
Draco's confidence seemed to vanish. "I-I don't know what you're talking about-"
"Expelliarmus!"
Someone had disarmed Draco. Ron couldn't understand what was happening. He then saw Ginny and Neville coming from the back.
"Stupify!" Neville shouted. Now, Goyle was on the ground.
"You will pay for what you have done!" shouted Crabbe. A fire in the shape of a deadly creature came out of his wand.
"What the hell are you doing, you idiot? How will we get out of here?" shouted Draco. He seemed furious but also frightened.
"Well, I did not think of that!"
Ron took the diadem while they were distracted.
"What are we going to do?" Luna whispered to Ron. He, then, saw Ginny and Neville flying in the air.
"They are geniuses. Accio broomsticks!"
Two broomsticks came towards Ron. He gave one of them to Luna and they started flying, trying to figure out where the door was.
They saw Malfoy, Goyle and Crabbe climbing up a pile of old desks in order to escape from the fire. Crabbe fell down. He was now the victim of the flames he had created on his own.
"No! We have to save them. We cannot leave them like this," exclaimed Luna.
"Are you out of your mind?" bawled Ginny.
"No, I'm not! I feel like we need to keep them alive," Luna insisted. "It will bring something good. Trust me!"
Ron hesitated. But Luna was the one who directed him to Hogwarts. He decided to do what Luna said.
"I can't believe we are doing this! I really can't!" Ron shouted as he changed his direction towards Draco. He took Draco's hand, and he jumped on his broomstick just as Goyle did to Neville's.
Ginny casted a spell that opened the door. They shoved themselves outside. The diadem fell down from his hand. It was broken and a black liquid was dripping from it. He then stood up and kicked the diadem inside the room and closed the door. It was gone. The diadem was gone.
"We did it! We did it!" exclaimed Luna while she hugged him. Ron was in the shock of both destroying the Horcrux and the fact that Luna had her arms around him. He didn't feel weird around her for the first time. After she left him, his eyes came across her. She seemed a bit shocked by her action, but Ron could read the happiness in her eyes. He felt the same way as she did.
Then, Ron looked at Draco. He seemed like he had lost his mind. No bad words came out of his mouth.
"Crabbe! Is he-"
"Yeah, he is dead." snapped Neville. "But you two owe us your lives."
"Don't ever think of betraying us," Ron put out with disgust. He saw the fright in Draco's eyes. Draco and Goyle, then, started running away.
"How the bloody hell did you find us?" Ron asked Neville and Ginny.
"Well, we wanted to look for you out of curiosity you can say," said Ginny.
"We saw the door on the wall and just knew that was the room you were talking about," Neville continued. "And thank God we saw the door, you could have died! Why didn't you tell us that you needed help?"
"I thought it would not be that hard," Ron said. "If Draco didn't come, it actually wouldn't be."
"What did you throw inside the fire? Was it that diadem thing?" Ginny inquired. "Why was it this important? I mean you were almost-"
"I really can't tell you about it," Ron interrupted. "But I can assure you that we just moved one step further. I only hope Malfoy doesn't rat me out."
"I think what you did was a noble thing," Luna said. He didn't know what good this would bring to them, but he knew it was the right thing to do too.
