The Last One

Harry could not bear the vision of Sorting Hat burning on Neville's head.

"Confringo!" he shouted, pointing his wand towards Nagini, but nothing happened. He knew this wouldn't work because he needed the Sword. At the same instant, the sword of Gryffindor fell onto Neville's head from the hat right into his hands.

Everyone turned their eyes to Harry. Hermione and Ron were standing with their eyes widened. They had tears of joy coming out of their eyes for Harry being alive.

"Stupify!" someone stunned Neville, and he knocked out.

"Avada Kedavra!" shouted Voldemort.

"Expelliarmus!" Harry exclaimed. All the Death Eaters started dueling with the people from the D.A. and the Order.

Ron and Hermione looked at each other. They remembered the promise they had given to Harry: killing Nagini.

"Are you lost, little pretty redhead? No one's around to protect you, huh? Would you want me to send you where you belong? Maybe next to your stupid older brother, what do you say? Crucio!" Bellatrix shouted.

"No! Ginny needs help Ron! You go find the snake! You already have the tooth," Hermione shouted to Ron.

"Okay, please go help Ginny!"

As Voldemort was dueling with Harry, he was distracted. Ron started running towards Nagini. He tried to stab her with it, but he missed. Nagini got angry and turned towards him. She hissed and started chasing him. Ron could not attempt to do anything else and started running.

Nagini was faster than he thought. It was almost impossible to stab her with the tooth while running.

"Reducto!" shouted Luna as she had seen that Ron was in big trouble, but this only made Nagini more angry. She had only wanted to make a distraction, but now, Nagini was coming towards Luna. She didn't know what to do.

Then, Ron saw Neville, running towards the snake with the sword in his hands and cutting her into two pieces. No blood came out. Instead, the dark soul inside it bursted out into the air and faded away. Neville had destroyed the last Horcrux.

Ron couldn't believe it. It was over.

"Thank you," said Ron.

"For what?" Luna asked.

"For saving my life, really," he said.

"What are friends for?" Luna said. He felt warm inside to see her smiling.

"Not my daughter, you bitch!"

Ron turned around to see his mother Molly dueling with Bellatrix. Molly casted a spell that shrunk her body. Then, she tore her down into thousands of pieces. Bellatrix Lestrange was destroyed.

Neville ran as fast as he could towards Ginny. She was still lying on the floor and her eyes were closed.

"Ginny! Are you alright?"

He gave out his hand to her and helped her stand up.

"Yes, I am. Thank you for asking, Neville," she answered. She seemed delighted.

They all went to Harry to help him out.

"No! I don't want help guys! I have to do this on my own!" Harry shouted.

"Your stupid courage makes me laugh," Voldemort said. "You are alive just because of a coincidence. You will die, Harry Potter. You will lose."

"It's funny you think like that, Tom. You killed the wrong person to possess the wand. It was never Snape who owned the wand, but I'll never tell you who it was. Just accept that you have already lost and just die with dignity."

Voldemort got weaker with every word that spilled out of Harry's mouth. At the very end, the killing curse backfired to Voldemort, who shredded into thousands of pieces at once like a broken glass. He was, once and for all, dead. This was the end of his journey.
