Staring up at the moon feeling the warmth of the fire on the left side of my face, hearing the fire crackle and pop at an almost musical pace. Closing my eyes for the last time before I fall asleep and dream of better life, suddenly a wolf howls in the distance. Although the wolf sounds far away it feels as though it is right next to me and I feel the urge to find the source of the noise. I begin to sprint up a sand mound to get a better view and search for the source of the noise. In the distance a wolf howls again, getting a sense of the direction I head west towards it. My bare feet sink into the sand with each step as I run by the light of the moon. I ran for what seemed like half an hour, eventually I reached a dead forest so I headed into it. As I ran through the forest I kept getting caught on branches that began to tear my shirt. Again I heard the howl and changed directions slightly. I tripped landing on a dead tree trunk causing me to bite my tongue but I quickly got back up and frantically ran towards the sound. I reached a clearing and saw it, I saw the white wolf but behind the white wolf was a girl.

                                           -Two Days Earlier-

I suspiciously stared across the table at the governor. He wore a light brown duster with a black shirt and light brown pants. He had a small pistol and dagger strapped to his chest, the dagger had a shiny gold metal hilt with black cloth wrapped around it. We were in his mansion outside near the arena, we were brought here after each of us was chosen. By chosen I mean he pointed to three girls and they were each shot instantly. I had so many questions for him but he hadn't spoken a word to us yet. What were his intentions with us three? Where are we going? Almost sensing my questions he spoke up, "I bet you three are wondering why I brought you hear. Well, you three stood out above the rest. I assume all of you hate the General of Light." He paused giving us time to answer and we all nodded.

"As well you should. He is an evil bastard who is halting progress towards a better, more civilized world. You see, I am secretly part of the rebellion and I used this fiendish arena to pick the best most promising fighters to help me on a special mission. Each of you has a special skill that is needed to complete this." He paused to take a sip of wine from his chalice and let this news sink in.

"Beth, you have amazing archery skills which is  invaluable when there is limited ammunition because yours is reusable.  Danica you posses mutated skin causing it to be thicker than most armor and your extremely strong so I have a sword for you." He pointed to a sword made of a blue metal with a black handle.

Finally he pointed to me and said, "And last but certainly not least, Lana. You shall be the leader of this small group for you posses amazing leadership. Not to mention your nails are made of a organic metal sharper than most swords. So, you should grow out your nails and sharpen them to a point." He paused for several moments then continued, "Any questions?"

Beth motioned with her hand and said, "What exactly is this mission?"

"Ah yes, yes... the uh mission is very, very dangerous. Following a map I shall give you, you need to infiltrate an underground bunker and take out all the Draken guards. After you take out the guards you need to find a small box and press the green "go" button. You'll receive further instructions from there. Now go to your rooms you leave tomorrow." He got up and left the room leaving no time for objections.

-The Morning Before Ian Chased The Wolf-

I've been running for hours and the damn thing is still howling. I have a distinct feeling it's the same white wolf I've been noticing a lot, I'm not sure how but I can sense it calling me. I close my eyes and breathe in summoning the energy to continue chasing the howling. "Ahwoooo!" It's extremely close now, it sounds as if it's right in front of me. Just as I finish the thought I take another step just like any other, except it doesn't land on anything it just keeps going. I open my eyes and notice that I'm plunging into a large hole. I land on the bottom directly on my head. I sit up and check my head for wounds and I suspect that I have a concussion. "What the fuck are you doing Ian, your chasing a freaking wolf that you just happen to see a couple times." I say aloud.

I stand up and grab a wall to try and climb out, "Ow, goddamit someone covered the walls with a prickly plant."

I wait in the hole hoping for either a plan or for Agrippa. Soon after a half hour I hear a horse, I listen to the horse and it slowly makes its way towards my direction. A man dressed in scratched brown leather armor looks down into the hole and yells out for his comrades to come over to him because "he got one". Several more horses with men on them come over and they throw a rope down, "Tie this rope around your waist and we'll pull you out."

I grab onto the rope and tie it around my waist, as soon as they pull me out they tie me up with more ropes and throw me in a wooden cage on a cart. Every bump throws me into the ceiling aggravating my new confusion.

Before long we arrive in Nyshka, it's the newest city built since the apocalypse so it seems incredibly daunting. We go through a gate and it opens up into a garden surrounded by little shops and house with women, men, and children going about their daily activities. By a huge house there are three beautiful girls walking towards a gate. For some strange reason my eyes are drawn towards the one in the center, she walks with a sense of importance and elegance. I must meet her.
