"Ugh," Agrippa grunted as he lifted a heavy log and brought it over to the fire. He threw the large log down and began to smash it in half with a sharp rock. After it was cut he broke both of the halves again and threw them in the fire. The fire wavered with each toss but after a few moments it grew even larger and brighter. Agrippa was waiting for Ian in the same cave they ha slept in for several nights because he knew Ian couldn't be stopped so easily so he would eventually make his way back to Agrippa. He felt a strong brotherly bond with Ian he even considered staying with him for longer, but Agrippa knew he had to continue his real mission. Even though he missed the companionship this gave him some time to sort out some things he wouldn't want Ian to see.
Agrippa's train of thought came to a halt when he saw several pairs of glowing red eyes next to a few dead bushes. He also saw another pair of bright green eyes in the distance to his left. Agrippa pretended not to notice and continued his work, after awhile he stopped and sat down pretending to take a break. Almost immediately once he sat down Agrippa grabbed a small dagger and threw it at the glowing red eyes. He heard a wet sound as the dagger punctured the creature. The rest of the animals scattered quickly leaving only the dead creature he hit on the ground. Agrippa walked over and sighed a sign of relief as he noticed it was just a large lizard.
A hard wooden cylinder crashed down onto Agrippa's head as he was looking at the creature. Hands descended on him and they grabbed him lifting him slowly onto a cart. A tall unshaven man appeared from behind a tree and he clapped slowly yet loudly as he approached Agrippa's unconscious body. "Congragulations men we captured a prime specimen. The money we get for this one will help the rebellion significantly." The tall man confidently spoke.
Agrippa's eyes slowly opened revealing an awful sight; he was in a small concrete room and to his left was a thick door made of iron bars. He jerked his hands to his sides as he realized where he was. The cuffs barely budged from the concrete wall only creating a light echo as the chains clicked against each other. A small machine revved to life emitting a soft light in the right corner of the room. A man's voice was broadcast into the room, "Hello foul beast it seems we have caught you once again and once again I think I shall tell you why you are here. You like many others are mutated and many of those mutants have incredible advantages compared got the rest of us. Naturally people got jealous and mutants were outcast. The only use people see for your kind is as bodyguards or mercenaries. As you lack agility or speed you shall be put up to auction and someone who requires a body guard will purchase you. You are the only person to escape from us therefore we have put in some new precautions. A guard will visit your cell and show you some of the 'activities' you shall participate in." The machine made one last click and then shut off.
A dark purple gas filled the room a few moments later causing Agrippa to fall unconscious. Several hours later he woke up as the guard struck him with a heavy metal pipe. All the air left Agrippa's lungs and he struggled against his chains. "Hey there boyy! Hi finally awake I see." The guard yelled as he struck Agrippa again.
"S-screw y-y-you." Agrippa responded finishing his sentence by spitting in the guard's face.
The guard struck Agrippa in the head for his remarks and he said, "Don't you dare speak a word you filthy animal! You are going to be taken out of here tomorrow morning and you'll be sold. You'll probably get killed guarding one of the idiots who are gonna buy you. So shut the fuck up and stop whimpering like a little bitch!"
Agrippa just sat there and was beaten for hours on end, sometimes the guards switched out. Sometimes they beat him with pipes other times they drowned him until he was almost unconscious and then they let him breath before they put his head underwater again. All the time Agrippa was formulating his second escape from the prison.
