"That was way out of line Julian." Kenny snaps at me once we got back to our place. "You say no one would be killed."

"He had it coming." I say, heading to my room.

Kenny cuts in front of me, blocking my path. "No, he didn't. Everything he said was true, wasn't it? Your parents were brutal murderers and you're becoming like them."

I grab his shirt, shoving him against the wall. "Watch your tongue Kenny, or I'll dump your body next to his."

Louis shoves me back, keeping us separated. "Woah guys, calm down. What's done is done, let's leave it at that." He says.

Kenny glares at me. "I'm not here to be serial killers Julian."

I laugh. "You have to make tough decisions if you want to survive out here."

Kenny shoves Louis out of the way, hitting me as hard as he could. I stumble back. "What the heck!" I snap, holding my bleeding nose.

Kenny tackles me, pining me to the ground. He continues hitting me until Louis pulls him off me.

I pull myself to my feet, ready to charge Kenny but Donnie grabs my arm. "As much as I enjoy a good fight, you guys need to stop before you kill each other." Donnie says.

"I'm sure Julian wouldn't mind that, he's already proven himself as a murderer." Kenny sneers.

"Screw you Kenny!" I yell at him. I shove Donnie off, causing him to fall on the couch. All three of them give me stunned looks. "I'm going to to my room, I'll be back in a couple hours."

I head back to my room. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Bloody nose, bruise forming under my left eye, and my lip was also bleeding. Kenny really did a number on me didn't he?

I lie on my bed, praying sleep will come easily. But it never did when I killed someone. It would haunt me for the rest of the night.

"What did you want to discuss?" I ask my father. He came looking for him in the library. I feel uncomfortable about the way he treated Athena.

Athena...I still can't believe it. She lied to me? How could she do that? I thought I was falling in love and I found out the girl of my dreams is supposed to be an enemy.

"I talked with Brynjar and we have a plan for Roland and Nicholas's treaty." Father says.

I narrow my eyes, following my father into the room he staying in. Brynjar was already there. And he did not look happy. "I remember it being your idea father." Bryn snaps.

"Plan? Idea? What are you two talking about?" I ask them.

"Father wants me to woo Athena, hoping if Philip found us together, the treaty would be broken." Bryn rolls his eyes dramatically.

Father pats my shoulder. "If Athena marries Philip, Nicholas will join the war on Roland's side. That would grant them a swift victory." He shakes his head in disappointment.

"I'm not doing it though. I refuse to." Bryn says crossing his arms. "It's incredibly rude and improper."

Father sighs, placing his hands on Bryn's shoulders. "Son listen, this could help our stance in the war, surely you don't-"

"What if I did it?" I blurt out, cutting my father off. This was my chance to get back at Athena. For hurting me and betraying my trust. I finally had my chance.

Father laughs. "You Julian?" He asks. "Are you sure she would fall for you? You never seemed to take interest in women."

"Yeah Julian...is something wrong." Bryn asks, seeing right through me.

"I just thought maybe she'd be more comfortable around me. We're closer in age and I'm less terrifying than Brynjar."

"Very well, if you're willing to do it Julian, then I guess we can change it." My father nods and smiles, but I could tell it was forced.

I didn't care. Athena would get what's coming to her.

I sit up stiffly. I did not sleep well and what's with these weird dreams I've been having.

Who was Athena?

Donnie appears at my doorway. "Hey, we're going to grab food. You want to come?" He asks.

I shake my head. "No thanks. I should probably get my face cleaned up." I wince when I touch the bruise on my face. It must've gotten worse.

"Yeah, you look terrible." Donnie grins, he turns to leave but pauses before turning back around. "What do you want?" He asks.

"Get me whatever, I don't care." I mutter.

"Alright! We'll be back." Donnie spins dramatically, darting down the hall. Does he ever run out of energy?

After I hear the apartment door shut, I head to the bathroom. Grabbing a clean rag, I wet it and start cleaning up the blood that dried on my face.

My bruise had definitely gotten worse. It turned to a blueish yellow and hurt like the dickens no matter how gently you touched it.

Once I finished cleaning my face, I told the rag into the sink and head into the living room. I pause when I see Kenny sitting on the couch.

"Relax, I'm not going to hit you again." He says from behind the newspaper he was reading.

"I thought everyone left." I say.

"I was going to go but decided to stay back when I heard you were staying." He folds the paper, placing it on the end table next to him.

"Don't trust me?" I question. After Kenny beat me, I know I definitely didn't trust him.

Kenny sighs. "Listen, I'm sorry for the..." Kenny gestures to his face. "But I'm not sorry for what I said. You didn't need to kill him."

"What did you do with the others?" I ask, ignoring his apologie, it wasn't a full one anyway.

Did he not feel sorry about what he said about my parents?

"Louis decided to relocate them, in case you wanted to ask them for any info. He took them to another warehouse in his car."

"That's why he took so long to get home." I sit on the opposite side of the couch, turning to face Kenny.

"So... Do you?" Kenny asks.

"Do I what?"

"Want to talk to them. Obviously." He rolls his eyes.

I shrug. "I mean if Donnie's Intel is accurate then yeah, I want to talk to them."

"Then we'll go tomorrow."

I narrow my eyes at him. "Hey, I call the shots around here." I tell him. Kenny gives me a look, causing me to sigh. "Fine... We'll go tomorrow."
