"Do you think he'll show?" I ask Louis.
He only shrugs. "We'll be lucky if he does." I look out the window, scanning for any incoming cars while Louis continues talking. "Hollister is smart, he'll probably sense this trap from a mile away."
I stifle a grin. "What do you think Donnie's doing?" I ask.
Louis chuckles. "Not sure, but I hope it'll be useful to us."
I watch the figures moving in the warehouse. "July looks nervous." I mutter to Louis.
I hear Louis shift his position from behind me. "He'll get over it, he always does."
I watch our fearless leader. Julian is everything you'd want in a leader, brave, tactical and not to mention he looks cool. But there's something about him that makes me uneasy, like he's just a landmine waiting to go off.
"I know what you're thinking Kenny and you can stop it." Louis says. I turn to look at him. "You and Julian may not have the same opinions or ideals but he's a better leader than you could ever be."
I grimace. Louis isn't one to snap at me like that. Usually it was Donnie. "Okay... Sorry." I mumble.
"I'm not trying to make you feel bad but Julian's better at making tough decisions than you could ever be." Louis pauses, looking over his gun. "You're too soft Ken."
I stare out the window again. "I don't know, I think Athena's making Julian soft." I watch as Julian says something prompting a laugh out of Athena.
There was a moment of silence before Louis answers. "Yeah, that's a strange match. Not that's it's bad, I just thought they hated each other."
"How soon do you think it'll be before he proposes?" I question. "I don't know, Julian seems like the type of guy to propose early."
Louis doesn't reply. "Louis?" I turn on my heel, hearing a loud thud behind me. "Louis are yo-"
I stiffen, seeing the two figures standing above Louis's unconscious body. "Who are you?" I mutter, my voice slightly shaky.
The two figures exchange a look. One was female and the other was male, I could definitely tell that but who they were, I was unsure.
"What did you do to him?" I demand.
The man steps towards me cautiously as if I was a scared deer. I move my arm to shove him back but he grabs it, pining me against the wall. He sticks something sharp into my neck.
"Ah! What the heck!" I elbow him in the chest. He jumps back, gripping a needle tightly in his hand. "What did you give me?" I question, suddenly feeling lightheaded.
"Just go to sleep." The man finally says something, he had a familiar faint accent.
I grab unto the wall, trying my best to keep my eyes open. The man moves towards me, pulling me away from the wall and pushing me to the ground.
Him and the female start beating me until I was fully unconscious.
