The first step and the final step are always the toughest. They had finally reached the end of their journey. However, they had one last conundrum to overcome, this might just be the hardest challenge they'll ever encounter.
"Oi, try to keep up. That curse isn't going to purge itself you know."
"You suddenly believe in curses now?" He mocked
"Nope, but since i'm no exorcist, i'll take your word for it."
"I reckon you don't believe in ghosts either."
"Pfft, There's nothing after death. Your life just comes to a halt." She said sounding as if she was stating a fact. "There are no ghosts or demons, as a matter of fact I find humans more frightening than the supernatural forces." She added "You never know what one man is capable of when they're pushed to the edge."
Chongyun didn't reply, he found arguing to be redundant so he let silence speak for itself.
"Ah, silence. So comforting." She sighed
"This is the last place, correct?" Chongyun asked to change the subject.
"Indeed, after this one last hurdle, we get the key and hopefully the amulet will be mine." She beamed
Chongyun sighed, "You know, there's a chance that purging the curse means that the Amulet will be destroyed along with it."
She stared at him, the possibility of that taking place hadn't occured to her until now.
"Oh.."
"I'm sorr-"
"Well then i'll just have to steal it before you do!" She said gleefully.
"Wait, What?"
The words he just heard made his forehead wrinkle. She cackled at his reaction
"You...really are strange." He mumbled
"Aren't we all? Don't pretend like you havent acted strange or weird before." She said with great certainty.
His ears turned red. He knew that his condition made him susceptible to public buffoonery after merely eating a hot meal. Worse thing would be that he'd have no recollection of what he did during that momentary outburst.
She grinned as she noticed the evident change in his expression, it indicated that she was right.
"Uh..Anyways, we're here now. Let's just focus on what happens next, shall we?"
"Whatever, Frosty."
"Could you..Please just call me, Chongyun." He pleaded.

The path up to the ancient pavilion was nothing short of macabre. The limp skeletons greeted them with chills down their spine, a cold breeze was prevalent. The belongings of previous zealous travelers were strewn everywhere on the ground."It's a ghost town up here.." she gaped as her eyes were fixed at the woeful sight before her.
Chongyun seemed unfazed by all of this which was both frightening and impressive at the same time to the traveler.
Ignoring all the signs of danger and, the old notes written by their deceased previous adventurers; they entered the pavillion.
The old cobblestone walls littered with moss, the heinous smell along with a bitter cold gust of wind hit them the moment they stepped in. In the middle of the pavilion laid a table affixed to the ground on it laid two significantly distinct potions, beside it was a glass container secured by a spell, within it was a vial containing a rose colored fluid, it seemed inviting for some reason.
