Xiao: A Night well Spent Together

This was initially a scrapped One shot 

But I decided to post it anyway.

You could think of this as a scrapped part from the previous Modern Au story that I wrote previously called 'Salty yet Sweet'.

In college, during the one class that you both have together, it's often spent by Xiao falling asleep or doodling in his notebook. Yet somehow the sucker gets really good grades despite paying little to no attention during class. Strange, how does he do it?

It wasn't uncommon of Xiao to distract you from Miss Yanfei's lectures.

"Nerd."

"Hey, I need to pass this class. I am not a slacker unlike you."

"Rich coming from you." He retorted

You'd often end up getting caught talking during class but Xiao would make it up to you by giving you a treat. Sweet of him to do so, but It would often make you wonder if there was a deeper meaning behind his kind gestures and acts of service.

Pondering on such things would cause you to overthink, a habit you often find yourself doing. Though you try your best to avoid it, sometimes you can't. Well, as they say Old habits Die hard. 

Moving on; On the way to miss yanfei's class, You snuck up behind Xiao and bonked him on his head. He placed a hand on the spot and sighed

"Y/N, You really need to stop doing that." He pointed, Your only response or rather a reaction was a light giggle as you both made your way over to your seats. Sitting next to each other

While she was going on about the necessity of laws and other boring facts that failed to grab the attention of the students in class, You both were engaged in a conversation about random things.

"So, What do you think of Miss Yanfei?" You questioned.

"Miss Yanfei? Err..she's alright I suppose. Strict and Straightforward, but never really cross."

"Eh, I find her and her class incredibly boring."

"Heh, well What did you expect?"

"Hm...good point."

While this was going on, Childe, who was known for his antics was busy making paper planes and throwing it at random students during her lectures. It seemed to me that he liked getting suspended in order to avoid college all together.

"Childe, for the love of god. Must you always be so troublesome. Have you learned nothing from being kicked out of my class 3 times this past week?"

Childe let out a lighthearted chuckle and apologized. That's what he always does, but he never changes. He had a knack for causing trouble and seemed to enjoy the chaos he created.

Miss Yanfei let out a sharp exhale, placing a palm on her forehead. She asked for every student's attention

"Attention please! I have an assignment for all of you, I expect it to be completed the day after tomorrow. You will each work in pairs." She announced

This announcement earned a vast number of sighs and eye rolls from the students, a few being an exception since they actually preferred her class.

"I will announce the groups so pay listen closely." She exclaimed, she went on listing the groups. To my delight, Xiao and I had to work together on this assignment. However, Xiao seemed to be unfazed by all of this
