Little Announcement
By the time I publish this I'll be on summer break, yay! I plan to write most of this book over these three months because I want to finish this story in fall( because the story ends in fally/winter there) I'm afraid I might not be able to finish it on time, so if my update schedule is worse than it already is, or just wacky, I apologize.
Your POV
"How was your internship?"Uraraka asked.
"It was ok, but I wish we could have done more hero work." Yaoyorozu sighed, slumping into her seat.
"What about you Ko?" Uraraka questioned.
"I liked it. You were with Gunhead right, how did that go?" I asked.
We were currently making small talk as we waited for Mr.Aizawa. We were, but the door slide open, and we shuffled to our seats.
"You're all back from your internships, we're going to find out what you've learned the past week. Suit up and meet outside exit A." he instructed.
While in the changing room, I changed like normal, in the corner. I usually did this to avoid people from seeing the cuts and bruises, I made sure I only get harmed on my front side. My plan had been compromised though when the girls saw the bandages around my stomach.
"Are you ok?" Tsu asked.
"Haha yeah I'm fine, just broke a rib during the internship." I reassured, throwing on my shirt and red coat. I'm not religious, but I've never prayed so hard, hoping nobody saw anything but those bandages.
"Did they have you jumping out of windows or something!?" Mina joked
"Well I mean kinda." I then shuffled out of the room and to exit A.
A few of the boys were already there, but I was the first girl. We talked about internships while we stretched until everyone got there and Mr. Aizawa explained what we were doing for the day.
As Deku raced across screen, you could say we were all surprised. No broken bones were in sight.
'How did he learn to do that in such a short time?'
Even though he lost, he won all of the class's attention, especially Bakugo.
He yelled, a lot, "You're going to tell me how you did that you brat!"
Thankfully he was next and he had to take his spot. He was still fuming though. After Bakugo raced, and won, I was up next.
Casually taking my place, I used my quirk to better observe my surroundings and form a plan. I wasn't very concerned on my speed, I was so not concerned, I didn't bother using my quirk to run.
If Mr.Brave's agency taught anything, it really helped me advance my running capabilities. Between the 5am runs and racing to help civilians during his undercover missions, it always felt like I was on the go.
"Go!" the robot yelled.
I decided to go with the longer path with less obstacles, it wouldn't be a huge problem if I could run fast.
I had no clue were my other classmates were, but as I neared the center of the training ground, my destination, I saw a tuft of blue race from behind me.
Deku POV
We all stared intently at the screen. The battle of speed between Iida and Ko was intense. Most of the class couldn't help but be surprised, one week ago, she wouldn't have stood a chance with the race, along with the fact the she wasn't using her quirk at all. They were also shocked at Iida's stellar performance for having such a bad injury.
As they came closer to the platform, Ko, behind Iida, eyes flashed black. As soon as the color came, it converted back to it's normal self and Ko's expression changed as she slowed down just a bit.
The change was so fast, I thought I was the only one who saw it, but I then heard Kattchan cursing behind me.
"That bitch, she's always deciding to not use her quirk last minute. She's a fucking idiot." he yelled. I was surprised when nobody reacted, but they were glued to the screen.
"Woah, I really didn't think Iida would win that!" Mina exclaimed.
"Yea, with an injury like that, I didn't think he'd be able to beat Ko, especially when she's gotten so much faster." Sero sighed, walking towards the changing room as we followed.
Your POV
So maybe I let Iida win, but I think he deserved it. I may not seem to care a lot, but I feel like sometimes the person who needs the win at that moment should get it. It would just be another success for me, but it could mean so much more to Iida after the whole incident. I hoped that it would show him that he was strong, with or without an injury.
Right as we finished packing up for the day, Mr. Aizawa came back in and talked about some training camp.
"If you want to become a hero, you're going to need a hero license. This camp will allow you to gain your hero licenses and start your next step towards becoming a hero."
I didn't understand all the details, but it sounded important. As I walked home, I couldn't help but think about training that day. I couldn't help but thinking about Deku and his quirk.
A flashback you're getting
"Midoriya's quirk is a lot like All Might's." Tsu pondered
"Yeah, except All Might doesn't break his bones every time he uses it." Kaminari stated.
Back to now
'Wait....now the the physical effects are taken away, it's just like All Might's quirk.'
As I unlocked the door, I could see my father passed out on the couch. I was thankful, but this summer would be hell with him. Apparently people in the U.S and a few other countries had longer summer breaks, so they could easily make a long business trip and still have some time with their families. This meant that my father wouldn't be on long business trips and he would only work regular shift, coming home every morning.
As I tried to sneak past him, I must have accidentally moved one of the new beer bottles on the floor because a small clink sound could be heard. I tried racing to make my room, but it was to late, he had already seen me.
He started pestering me about how annoying I was and how I couldn't clean properly, how I was too loud and how he was hungry. To him, I was just his personal maid who he could do whatever the hell he wanted with.
I shuffled to the kitchen and started preparing food. I cut ginger and poured the noodles into the steaming water. Over the years, after making all three meals for my dad everyday, I would like to think that I've become a pretty good chef, even if it will never satisfy him.
As I walk back into the living room with his noodles, I place the bowl next to his beer can and scurried to my room, not bothering to get food for myself.
For the next hour I worked on homework, made grocery lists, reorganized my little belongings and flopped down on my bed. I couldn't get my mind off the Deku and All Might thing, it made no sense. For some reason, Deku and All Might were always hanging out, had almost identical quirks, and it all tied to All for One and One for All. Not to mention the fact that All Might had a secret form in which he looked weak, which sometimes he would change into. How does that even make sense?
Thinking about mysteries, I opened the case file from many years. I had barely touched it since the start of the school year, but I could help to take another look for the hundredth time.
It made no sense to me, how had someone been able to get into the house, shoot my her, and escape before Mitsuki could see them? The police never found the gun, even after searching every trash can in the area. When they examined the bullet, nobody who would want to kill my mom had the same gun, nobody wanted to kill her in the first place. I mean, who would go out of their way to kill her anyway? There must have been something we were missing.
