Chapter 4-Trying to Understand

"KAKASHI-SENSEI!?"

Sakura turned around when she heard her brother scream. "WHAT THE FU-" sakura tried to scream but her mouth was covered by narutos hand before she could finish the cuss. "Y-yo!" Kakashi said awkwardly with being caught looking threw his new genins window. Naruto walked over to the window and let him in. "What are you doing here sensei?" Sakura asked going to stand beside naruto.

"Well, you three were acting strange and i followed you to hopefully find out why and i think i have my answer." Kakashi said, watching as his new students glaced at eachother. "Oh, then what did you find out. After that you can ask questions and we will most likely answer." Sakura said while both 12 year olds looked at their sensei with a questioning gaze. "Well i found out more of the situation of the villagers attitude towards naruto, but i was not expecting to them to have a reaction to you sakura." Both kids stiffened but stayed quite and let kakashi continue. "Then about your acts, im still impressed that you guys kept it up." Kakashi finished. "Now i have a few questions." Kakashi stated while looking down at the two.

"Ask away." Naruto and sakura said at the same time, which kinda creeped kakashi out. The two sit down on the couch and kakashi sits across from them on the loveseat.

Kakashi asked his first question. "First, why is sakura here? I would think she would be with her parents." Naruto glaced over to sakura and saw the look on her face. Guess he's answering this one. "Sakura lives with me and her parents abandoned her. Something happened at the orphanage that took her in and then the old man let her live with me." Naruto finished the explanation.

So my team is just full of orphans...
Great! Kakashi thought. "Ok ok, next question. Why did you two and sasuke put up the acts and why so long?" Sakura decided she was going to answer this one. "When we were 7, a few months after the uchiha massacre, naruto made up a plan to get us all on the same team. He picked out the personalities and how we would act in public. We kept it up so long so it would be believable and everyone would buy it"

Kakashi pondered on the new found information. He, and the other joinin sensei, had been observing the students and sakuras reactions when they found out their teams made sense now. But he still had questions.

"Ok, so what are you guys actually like?" He asked and naruto answered with, "sakura is like a big sister and is overprotective of me and sasuke, so much it's kinda scary sometimes. But she's nice and out of the three of us i would say she's the strongest in physical strength. She's smart and trying to learn medical ninjustsu from the medic nins at the hospital. Oh and she's really nervous around other girls, which makes sense cause- ow!" Sakura punched him before he could say anything else. Kakashi raised a eyebrow. Then he put two and two together. But just decided to comment on it later.

"So what about sasuke? And about him getting revenge on itachi, was that apart of the act?" Kakashi asked. Sakura answered one of the two questions asked. "That thing about revenge was an act. Sasuke doesn't want to harm itachi in any way, he wants to question itachi of what made him kill their clan." Kakashi let out a sigh of relief, he wouldn't have to deal with a vengeful uchiha. Naruto started to explain how the real sasuke acts. "Sasuke is kinda like his act. He's usually quite and doesn't like to talk much, which i think is a trauma response - he's actually really nice and loves animals, maybe even more then us." Naruto said the last sentence with a pout. "But he gets angered by things easily and gets tired of me and sakura talking his ears off. He likes to hang out here with me and sakura but he wont admit that and says 'you two would die from eating junk food so im only here to make sure you don't poison yourself' but we know he likes our company!"

"Wait- you two don't know how to cook!?" Kakashi asked, even more worried about the two living alone. "Well~" sakura dragged on. "No, we just eat microwave meals and instant ramen...." Naruto said rubbing the back of his neck.

'Is this really how they live!? I would think lord third would put them in a home with parents- and where does sasuke live!?' Kakashi thought. "Where does sasuke live?" He asked. "He lives in the uchiha compound." Naruto answered. "WHAT!?" Kakashi yelled making the two kids flinched back.

"Please don't yell sensei..." Sakura said glaring at the adult. Kakashi looked at the two, then their hands. Naruto was gripped sakuras hand while looking down. "Sorry if i scared you. I was just surprised that sasuke is living in the compound..." Kakashi said, figuring out he would have to deal with trust issues in his students. If he wanted to train them and be able to work as a team he would have to figure out how to help them to. Their weakness, strengths, and mental issues.

Naruto lifted up his head and looked at kakashi with a big smile. "It's ok, just surprised me" naruto said. Kakashi knew he didn't 'just surprised' naruto, he scared him. Naruto was still holding onto sakuras hand. The two kids were on guard, just incase kakashi decided to be like everyone else. And he knew the two didn't trust him and sasuke probably didn't either.

Kakashi, being his socially awkward self, changed the topic. "So how about you naruto, What's your real self?" Sakura laughed "I'm going to answer this one!" She said with a grin. "But-" naruto tried to protest but was cut off. "Naruto is very, very~ veryveryveryveryvery humble! He puts me and sasuke above himself. He likes to help people, if they let him. He has a ramen obsession and he hates vegetables!" "They're disgusting-" "you just don't like to be healthy - He likes to sleep and then burn all his energy training." She finished
