Team 7 Gone Rouge

Chapter 7- Zabuza

Team 7 and tazuna were on a boat, heading towards the land of waves. Sakura and naruto finally went to sleep. Narutos head was on sakuras shoulder and Sakura rested her head on her brothers. Kakashi was making sure they didn't tip over the boat and sasuke was trying not to puke up the little food he had in his stomach.

"So tazuna, this gato guy, why did you place this mission as a c-rank and not it's correct rank?" Kakashi asked while keeping his arm around naruto and sakura. "My family is poor and we don't have that much money. I needed protecting going home from Gatos men, I didn't expect for genin to be sent. But I couldn't stand the thought not ever seeing my daughter and grandson again..." Tazuna said, obviously trying to keep Kakashi from turning around the boat.

Kakashi, seeing what tazuna was doing, spoke up. "Stop trying to guilt trip me, we're staying on the mission. There's no point in turning back now."

It fell silent and sasuke got more and more uncomfortable with the swaying of the boat. He had his eyes closed and eyebrows furrowed. He was fiddling with his fingers trying to distract himself.

"Sasuke?" Kakashi asked. "Y-yeah?" The uchiha responded in a whisper. "Are you going to throw up?" Kakashi asked with worry, noting motion sickness to sasukes list. Kakashi had been observing his students noting on things.

Naruto, despite acting bold in public, was always hesitant and anxious on what to say in front of Kakashi. Hinting on possible social anxiety. The blonde also made sure his skin was covered, Kakashi knew he most likely had scars from the abuse from the village. And he also had thought another reason that he hoped wasn't true but was probably right. Sometimes Naruto would be silent and not motivated to even move and Kakashi saw those, and other, signs of depression. All of his students showed signs of PTSD.

Sakura didn't liked to be touched without seeing where your hands are going and the gray haired man hoped the reason he thought wasn't true. He noticed Sakura repressed her emotions and acted confident. He noticed she also seeks approval of things she did. Kakashi thought this might from neglect from when her parents were still around.

There was a lot of things Kakashi noticed about sasuke. The uchiha didn't like to portray a lot of emotions that would leave him vulnerable to other people. Kakashi noticed when sasuke was feeling anxious, like his older brother, would fiddle with his hands. Kakashi guessed he picked it up from Itachi. There was some days sasuke wouldn't talk and would push himself in training more than usual. On those days Naruto and Sakura would bring sasuke to their apartment and have dinner. How did Kakashi know this? No, he didn't spy on them again. The trio invited him to dinner. Kakashi noticed both sasuke and naruto leaned on Sakura on talking to him most of the times.

There's was also things he saw that the three would do together. When ever naruto felt scared he would hold on to someone's hand. Of course naruto usually held Sakura or sasukes hand when he got scared but there was a time the blonds hand grabbed onto kakashis. They were helping a old man with his garden and Sakura and sasuke were somewhere else while Kakashi was helping naruto. The old man kept glaring at naruto and then he started to yell at the kid because he was pulling the weeds 'wrong'. At the time Kakashi was surprised that the blond grabbed his hand but now he was glad that he found out his students were finally trusting him.

Later that day he asked Sakura why naruto always did that and she said that when they were little, whenever they would get yelled at, threatened or chased naruto would always grab her hand and run. She then went to say that she thinks that when naruto gets scared he's ready to run and bring the person with him too.

Kakashi saw that none of his students got that much sleep. He saw that naruto and Sakura would always try to get sasuke to get more food then them and that proved more to kakashis idea of sasuke being anorexic. He was underweight, was basically a skeleton and he'd have trouble with training some days. There was one time he passed out during sparing and had to go to the hospital 'cause he wouldn't wake up. The three cared for each other and sometimes let their guard down completely around Kakashi and would act like their true selves and sometimes fall asleep around him. Kakashi noticed that the three said they would act like themselves around Kakashi but they still put on their masks sometimes.

Naruto and Sakura had woken up and the team was about an hour away from shore. Sakura used this time to think of their situation.

(Quick A/N: I will mostly be using 3rd person pov but I will use 1st person when ever a character is heavily analyzing something or I dont know how to put something a character is feeling in 3rd)

Sakuras POV

There will probably be more rouge ninja when we get to the land of the waves so we will have to deal with that. Maybe we can make a deal?

Gato will most likely kill his employees once the job is done and doesn't pay them. So maybe we can make a deal with that. The rouge, or rouges, only want the money so we could give them more that gatos paying them? No, that probably won't work. The hokage won't agree with giving money away so easily, speaking from experience.

Have them team with us to take gato down and they still get their pay? How would they get the money though... I'm sure gato has a place near where his operations happen. We could easily get the rouges on our side. They probably know that gato won't pay them and try to kill them once tazuna is dead.

This is going to be interesting...

3rd POV

The group was walking, headed towards tazunas house.

"Kit. Watch out" kurama said to the blond. 'Why?' Narutos question was answered when kakashi yelled.

"Duck!" Their sensei yelled. Kakashi pushed tazuna down while the three kids quickly shot down to the ground.

"What was that!?" Sakura yelled. The trio quickly formed around tazuna to protect him from what ever was out there.

"Well, well..... The copy cat ninja, kakashi hatake and three little brats." Said a voice in the trees. Their heads shot over to see a man holding a giant sword.

Kakashi recognized the man instantly. "Kabuza momichi(?), the demon of the mist." Kakashis students looked confused, was this the next rouge ninja after tazuna?

Very, very sorry that this came out so late!!!

I was struggling with my mental health a lot and i had a lot of writers block. I also hyperfixated on the dream smp, greys anatomy, supernatural, and other things too!

School started so my updates will most likely be spread out.
