My Runner (Discontinued)

Scarlet p.o.v

I had gotten up early as usual and went to get breakfast during breakfast Minho said that the runners would be pairing up in threes today,i was curious but i knew that Minho would get pissed if i asked. "Scarlet,Ben your with me" he says and as soon as we finish breakfast we grab our supplies and stand at the entrance to the maze. " remember stick close to your partners and if you run into a griever,dont try and be a hero just run back here to the glade" I say to the other runners who where getting ready to run. I turn behind me and see Newt and Alby standing there to wish us off. "Get back before nightfall and dont get killed or stung" Newt tells me with slight concern in his voice,smiling at him i just kiss him a quick hug and i run off inti the maze with Minho and Ben behind me.

Newt p.o.v

When the runners were gone,i walked off to get some food and then after that i just go through my jobs like i usually do,we were expecting a new greenie today as always because every month we get a new greenie and every week we get supplies. That box has never seemed to fail on bringing the new arrivals or supplies here but we dont know who brings them but we know we cant use the box to get back down.

"The box its here" i hear a couple of boys say and just like that everyone except the runners of course crowed around the box and inside as expected is another boy."welcome to the glade greenie" i smile as i pull him up but as soon as i do he starts running. "WE GOT A RUNNER!" A boy yells and it is followed by cheers until the unknown boy faceplanted into the ground causing all of us to laugh. Alby stands beside the boy and tells everyone to put him in the pit. I walk with him there and we kneel down to loom at the boy "where am i" the boy asks "let me show you" alby opens the cage door and pulls him out and starts to explain about the glade and the rules to him,and the day goes on as usual for everyone here at the glade.

Scarlet p.o.v

We had finished a days running and Ben,Minho and i had just reached the glade,we noticed a new greenie standing there with Chuck,i smile and wave to Chuck and the newbie and chuck happily waves back while the greenie waves awkwardly i giggle and start jogging back to the map room. " hows it feel to be no longer the greenie Chuck" ben yells to him as he jogs by. "GREAT" "SEE YA AT THE BONFIRE LATER CHUCK" I yell to him and we make our way to the map room once there we all talked about the maze once done i stayed behind for awhile to look at the model of the maze. I frown at how we had searched the maze for 3 years and there was still no sign of a way out and it never helps when the grievers rear their ugly heads. "Why are we even here" i sigh running my hand through my hair "i would've thought you had given up on asking that question a long time ago" a calm voice says from behind me,i smile and turn to see Minho standing there looking at me with calm eyes like this whole glade and maze thing was not even real like the danger behind the walls were just a dream. " i didnt,i just never asked it out loud,im tired of this place Minho im never gonna see another girl,im never gonna see my parents,im stuck here with a bunch if guys and because im the only girl here they see me as someone they can just get in bed with....i hate this place but without it we would probably be griever food by now. Look sorry for ranting and for wasting your time its just im stressed" i ranted with anger in my voice it was true being the only girl here sucks because not only do the boys hit on me, im practically alone. "I know how you feel scarlet remember i was here just as long as you,you came up just after the month i did and i hate to say this but your the only person who i really trust around here." He says with a sigh and walks out the door with me close behind. We had reached the bonfire to see Gally as usual wrestling the other boys I walked part them only to receive whistles from them. As I walked by i glared at them and walked up to Gally "I'm bored Gally, care to fight me"I ask looking at the shocked boys face who quickly smirked and said " I tell you what, if I win the fight you gotta do whatever I want and if you win well I'll do whatever you want but I'm pretty sure I would win" he smirks at me and gets ready to fight me sighing I get into a fighting stance and Gally immediately attacks me,throwing a punch which I dodge and I quickly kicked him where the sun don't shine and that made all the guys wince in pain, Gally lay on the ground in pain "looks like I win" I help him up and smile at him,"first off OUCH and secondly what do you want" I smirk and pull him into a hug and kiss him. On the cheek causing him to blush madly and the others just frown and I walk off to sit with Minho and the other runners " that was a dirty trick shank" Minho says as he looks at me with a slight smile "why thank you Minho" I giggle.

I see the greenie and Gally about to fight annoyed by Gally I walked to the group to see if gally would do anything stupid and sure enough he eat the klunk out of the newbie but when he stood up he looked happy "I remember....I REMEMBER MY NAME. MY NAME IS THOMAS" he yells and everyone cheers for him I smile and walk away from the group only to be followed by Newt " hey so you told Minho yet" "tell me what" I turn and see Minho behind us I blush at him as he almost found out I liked him. "Oh nothing" I smiled blushing like a mad man "oh what she wanted to tell you is she really likes y-" I interrupted Newt by placing my hand over his mouth newt pushes my hand off and walks away laughing and Minho walks back to the sleeping areas confused,as I was about to follow Minho the greenie stopped me I smiled and asked him how his first day was and he looks at me up and down with a blush I giggle at his face and he blushes harder before replying "umm it's been good so far and chuck seems to be my only friend at the moment so yeah" he rubs the back of his neck and chuckles as chuck runs up to us almost tripping " he is alittle annoying but he's an amazing friend. I remember when he first arrived he was scared and alone,he had tons of night,ares but I was there to stay next to him and keep him safe you see mostly everyone here is like a brother to me" I explain as I see Thomas look at me with a smile of his face " Thomas come on we gotta go get to bed its late oh hey Scarlet" chuck runs to us and gives me a hug which i happily return. "Well I'm not gonna keep you guys up. I'm off to bed see you later chuck" I call as I jog off to my sleeping area which happens to be near Minhos hammock. I laid down and looked up at the sky as usual no stars or moon this place is so weird I've always known that but it's home and it's where we learn to live. Turning on my side I face Minho to see him staring at me, I smile at him and he returns the smile but there was something I did not expect was when Minho got up and laid on top of me pinning my arms down he leans in and kisses me. Surprised I slowly kissed back. I feel him smirk into the kiss and he releases my arms allowing me to wrap them around his neck pulling him into a deeper kiss. He runs his hands under my shirt and towards my bra blushing I moan as he begins to bite and suck in my sweet spot but that all ended all to quickly because soon I felt pain go through my side and I look to my side to see a dagger stabbed in my side I scream in pain as I see Minho with a devilish look in his face and I struggled to get out of his grip but he was too strong and he takes the dagger and stabs it in me.
I sit up in my hammock to only find everyone asleep, it had all been a dream. I looked to my side and saw Minho sleeping peacefully. I sobbed quietly as the dream flooded back to me. I felt someone pull me into a hug I looked to find Minho with concern and worry in his eyes "shh it's ok I'm right here it was just a nightmare there is nothing to worry about" he cooed as he laid beside me he whispered to me to just close my eyes and to fall asleep I did as told as I soon fell in to a peaceful slumber cuddled in Minhos arms knowing he would protect me from harm.
