chapter 5

scarlet p.o.v

everything moved so fast first we lost a couple of our group in the maze trying to escape then we found out why we were stuck in the stupid maze, and when i taught it couldn't get worse Gally shows up and he killed chuck. soon we were dragged out of the lab and put on a helicopter where the mysterious people took us away from the nightmarish maze.

"Scarlet you with me come on we gotta move"

"huh, w-what"

quickly snapping out of my trance Minho pulled me out the helicopter and i followed him with the group behind us following a man into some building, it was night and the harsh wind being caused by the helicopter blew sand in our eyes, wait sand.

taking quick glance at our surrounding area in the light of the lamps outside the base i saw a desert and a ton of armed men and women looking around and making sure we got in safe but the question is why were they armed and what were they trying to keep out.

Once inside the building the man who introduces himself as Janson told us about the place and that they were protecting us from WICKED, but something felt off about this guy as though the saviour act was just a lie but i couldn't place my finger on it.

"alright before i take you guys any further ill get my collages over here to lead you to a room where you can get cleaned up and changed before having a meal"

Janson announced and gestured for his 'colleges' to help us. i glared at one of them as they practically was shoving us forward. soon we were lead to a small room the boys were separated from the girls so that meant that Teresa and I would be on our own for now.

"wait here once your done, one of us will come to collect you"

nodding Teresa and I quickly got showered and change and to be honest it felt nice to have a shower after all being in a maze full of guys doesn't really make it ideal to have a shower. Sighing i picked an outfit from the closet they provided (pic at the top) i turned to see Teresa had done the same and we both changed and waited patiently.

"Hey Teresa"
"Yeah"
"I think Rat man works better for Janson dont cha think"

We began laughing at the name i had given Janson when the two gaurds returned and lead us to a canteen inside. Almost hundreds of teens were seated eating and chatting. Minho runs up to us and smiles leading us to where the others were.

"Isnt this great we werent the only ones"

Glaring at Minho he gives me a look that says 'what I'd say wrong'

"Minho how is that great, you do realize that means they had to suffer through pain and sorrow and grief just like us right"

I growled at him before looking down at the food that Newt placed infront of me. I look at Newt and smile slightly before eating it.

"Guys this food is almost a good as the ones i can cook back at the glade"

Chuckling Winston pats Frypan on the back agreeing with the chef. Smiling i began making light converstation when suddenly Rat Man (a/n yes im calling him rat man now deal with it they did it in the book and i think its best Janson is called rat man cus i have a few names i could call him that wont be nice to your young innocent ears)
