Y/n's POV:

We both sat on the sofa still giggling a bit, I looked at wilbur and realised just how lucky I was. I opened my mouth to say something but I didn't and just closed it again. Wilbur tilted his head and looked at me, he smiled and said " go on, say what you wanna y/n!". I smiled at him and looked down at my hands. Wilbur grabbed my hands and held them softly. "Well I just really wanna thank you, I finally have someone who cares about me". I looked up and smiled at him. His eyes sparkled and he smiled at me. He let go of my hands and pulled me into a hug. I was shocked at first but I hugged back. His hug was warm and cosy, I never wanted to let go. He let go of the hug and said "I'm so glad I met you! Let's get back to making the picnic shall we?" He grabbed my hand and led me to the kitchen. He smiled at me and we got back to making the picnic.

We prepared everything we wanted for the picnic and packed it in a big bag. " I know the perfect place for a picnic!" Wilbur exclaimed as he picked up the bag and opened the door for me. We walked down the corridor then down the stairs and finally outside. Wilbur walked me down the street and we talked for a bit. We walked for a little longer and there was a beautiful hedge archway overflowing with flowers and vines danced down it. "Wow that's beautiful" I said to wilbur while pointing at this wonderful hedge. He smiled at me. "That's where we're going, it leads to a great field where I like to go to ya know to get rid of my thoughts." He hummed while admiring the hedge. He grabbed my hand and led me under the hedge, his pace started to pick up and we were still holding hands . He began to run along the pathway smiling and leading me on, I could tell He really loved this place. It felt like we were in a movie. We ran holding hands all the way through this wonderful path. We got to the end of the path and I stared in awe at this field. The grass was soft allmost and a bright green, the sun danced along the grass making it look like each blade if grass was dipped in a shimmering gold. The flowers were spread all throughout the field, not a single one was damaged. Wilbur turned his head and smiled at me. I smiled back and wilbur let go of my hand. He began to run to the middle of the field so I followed after him. We ran all the way to the middle smiling and giggling at each other. Wilbur stopped and placed down the bag, he pulled out a blanket and gently lay it down on the precious grass. "Sit!" He said smiling and pointing at the blanket. I sat down and so did he. We pulled out our sandwiches and our snacks and began to eat. "Do you have any friends like ya know other than us?" Wilbur asked taking a bite put of his sandwich. I finished my mouthfuls and then spoke up. "Not really just got ethan and my parents well and now you lot!" I hummed. We both finished our sandwiches and then we moved onto the snacks. We talked and talked while enjoying our food, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. The sun started to set and me and wilbur were just finishing off our food. Wilbur looked over at me and smiled then looked away again quickly. "Whats up will, what's got you all smiley" I asked nudging him a little. He looked at his feet and then looked back at me. "Well I'm just so glad I met you! I just honestly can't believe how lucky I am to have you in my life!" He giggled a little after saying this. I smiled not believing what I'd just heard him say. Without thinking I grabbed him and pulled him into a massive hug. I layed my head on his shoulder and he lay his head on mine. We hugged for a while until his beanie fell off. I grabbed it and let go of the hug. "Here" I said and handed him his beanie. He pushed it away and smiled at me. "You keep it y/n" he said smiling. I pulled the beanie over my head and giggled. He smiled at me with the most brightest, sparkliest, biggest smile I had ever seen. I lost myself in his eyes, his beautiful brown eyes and we had a moment of silence. This silence was broken by wilburs phone ringing. He picked up his phone to see tommy was calling him. Wilbur answered the phone and I heard tommy shout. "HELLO WILBUR!" Tommy shouted. Wilbur smiled. He put tommy on speaker so I could hear him properly. "Hey tommy, what's up?" Wilbur said. There was a pause then tommy said "I just posted the mod video, can you let y/n know?". I looked at wilbur and he looked at me. I smiled. "Tommy I'm right here, me and wilbur were just finishing our picnic!" I hummed. There was a silence. Me and will were both very confused. We heard a sigh come through the phone. "So.. " Tommy started "you ditched me to go on a picnic date with wilbur??". I blushed at the thought of tommy thinking we were on a date. Of course we weren't but I blush way too easily. I looked over at wilbur and his face had lit up a bright red meaning he was blushing too! "It's not a date tommy! Just two friends having a picnic!" Wilbur hummed looking a bit nervous. I smiled at wilbur. "Yeah yeah" tommy said " Well I'll let you two get pack to your picnic, byeee". We both said bye to tommy then ended the call. We packed up the picnic and got ready to leave. I pulled my phone out my pocket to see what time it was. 20:14. Holy shit, had me and wilbur really been out here for so long. Well we spent a while making the picnic too but still! We picked up our stuff and we walked home enjoying the end of the sunset. I loved summer, the days were so much longer, Well light wise. We talked all the way home and we had a few laughs too. "Hey will, do you maybe wanna come over to my place for a bit?" I asked approaching my street. "Yes of course! My cars outside your place so I'd have to go this way anyways!" He hummed excitedly. We went down to my place and walked into the building where my apartment was.
