Chapter 8: Search for Leo begins

I was listening to Luna and Chase talking to me. They were going on about how I shouldn't be leaving to find my brother. They are worried from what I graps. Did they know him or something? I wonder where he is now? That would make my job a lot easier but who doesn't like a good challenge?

I was lost in my train of thought, forming plans on figuring out plans as to where he was. All thoughts went racing in my mind, when Chase nudged my shoulder bringing me back to reality.

"Phoebe, your brother left with the wolves-" He said before Luna cut him off.

"Chase!" She screeched. He gave her a guilty look and looked back at me.

"She deserves to know what happened to her brother from people who care than people who don't give a shit." He chuckled dryly.

"What happened?" I asked fearing for my brother. One that I don't even remember.

"He went with the wolves, who attacked us. No wolf is liked by us. Witches and warlocks are given the rule to never associate with them. Nobody ever broke that rule, until your brother. He found a "nice" side of them. We disowned him within the community. He was banned and no one was to speak of him. He may be a Dareskestia but we only had you to rely on for the bloodline to continue. The guy was never seen after he left that night. He was popular, and other things like that." Chase said and started to look at me closely

"What do you mean? Wolves?" I asked. What the hell does he mean by that?

"Werewolves." Luna sighed. "They exist. Not the best people to be around. They live farther away. They have pack borders as we have towns and communities." Luna pinched the bridge of her nose while shaking her head. "Evil little monsters. They shred anyone who annoys them. They are animals."

I laughed at her last comment. I read stories about the supernatural. I know the general stuff about this kind way but I don't know what's real or not. I was still laughing as Luna gave me a weird look. "Aren't they animals?" I asked her showing her why I was laughing.

They were laughing too while knowing that I was right. It was funny.

After a while, I remembered that my uncle couldn't know about my Leo hunt. I started to panic as I realized that I needed to make sure that my uncle didn't know about this.

"Guys, my uncle may be a problem and I do need help to find my brother. Any takers?" I asked as I looked at them for response to my words. Luckily, Chase was there.

"Of course, my dear Phoebe. I will help but if a wolf comes close, I snap." He said as I laughed and cringed at his words. I knew he meant them.

I looked towards Luna, she was biting her bottom lip nervously. We looked at her expecting a reaction.

"Fine." She groaned. "I'll come but I can't be too close to those demons from hell."

Her last words were so funny that I fell off the bed in laughter. We were in my dorm talking about stuff that will stay a secret.

My plan was starting to fix itself into place in my mind. The only thing missing was as to how do we get out of this school without getting caught.

"So, how do we get past my uncle, Troy, and queen Bitch?" I asked. They gave a funny look and Luna giggled nervously. This meant that they knew nothing.

"No one ever really tried to go see them. They might just not care." Chase suggested but we all know that they care.

"Why don't we create a distraction?" I asked mischievously as a grim spread across my face.

They looked confused at the moment but soon caught on as I was explaining the plan.

This might actually work.
