Chapter 10: Off into the woods

Phoebe's POV

Kory, Chase, Luna, and I had to figure out a plan. It was already thought out but it had it's flaws. The flaws being that my uncle can find me easily and discover our attempt to find my brother. It would be difficult but I think that it is a possibility. I wouldn't know what to expect from my older brother who believes that I'm dead along with our parents. He's suppose to be unpredictable. That doesn't help my situation, it only makes it worse.

Anyway, we were all in Kory's dorm room. Luna was on his bed with Chase siting down, I was on the floor and Kory was at his desk chair.

"So, what's the plan?" Kory asked and we just shrugged our shoulders a bit.

"We had one. Until we realized that we'd get caught. Do you have an idea?" I asked him. A wide grin appeared on his face indicating that in fact, he does have a fantastic plan in mind. He didn't even need to brainstorm for this one.

"Yes, I do have a plan. I have sneaked in and out of the school without being caught before but we would have to bend some rules." He said as his grin remained in place. I sudden began to slightly fear his mischievous plan. According to Chase, Kory was an awesome guy, he just had a dark side. Kory's dark side is very visible at the moment.

"What is he thinking?" Luna asked Chase in horror. Chase chuckled before answering, he knows his friends very well.

"He is thinking of an amazingly dark and evil plan." Chase replied as vaguely as possible.

Kory smiled at the reply and nodded in agreement to Chase's statement. I was fearing their plan but at the same time, I was intrigued. What is the plan?

"So, what's the plan?" I asked him. His grin never faded during the time.

"You will see, Phoebe. Just follow me and all should work as planned. Just keep quiet and avoid all contact with others." Kory said before he began to walk out the door.

"I really won't like this, will I?" Luna asked and Chase just smiled, then followed Kory.

I went after them all to get out of my school to see my brother. Time to bend the rules.

Kory walked in the hallway normally while we followed him. Troy and Jennifer were still there and seen me. Kory's plan might have a few delays. Jennifer called me over and so did Troy. They seemed to want to talk with me which didn't seem right. I looked to Kory, he simply nodded and mouthed to go. Chase and Luna just glared at Jennifer and Troy, which wasn't much of a surprise. By the end of it, I walked over to the Queen Bee and the player.

"Hi, Phoebe." Jennifer said. It was a surprise, I was expecting an insult or something from her. "You know if you wanted my man, you just can't have him, right? And what are you doing with them?" There it is. I knew it.

"One, I don't want your man. Two, it's none of your business on what I do. Last I remember, you didn't like me very much. So, pay attention to your life and I'll pay attention to mine." I said as calmly as possible. I've had enough of her, her mere presence was irritating.

"Well-" She started before Troy cut her off.

"Go ahead, Jen is like this all the time. But, before you go, could we talk later." Troy asked in a sweet charming voice. He is a typical player. He'll only hurt me in the long run.

"Thank you but I can't, I have things to do." I said as ran off towards my friends without glancing back.

Kory, Chase, and Luna just looked at me and kept going, they knew that I wouldn't want to talk about it. They kept walking forward towards a room with the number 5. I didn't understand along with Luna but Chase did. Kory slipped into the room and gestured for us to follow him in. Luna and I hesitated in the middle of the moment. We never seen the room before compared to Chase and Kory. All the boys did was smirk and slip into the room. We followed them in.

The room was pitch black until Kory turned on the light. It was a room filled with devices, a supercomputer, costumes, and much more. The suited Kory but it didn't seem right that he had extra room but no one else did.

"My parents fund the school and when looking through the student dorm rooms, this one was vacant." Kory explained as if he read my mind.

"I've known about Kory's special room ever since I met him." Chase explained as to why he didn't hesitate when coming in here.

"I'm as clueless as you are, Phoebe. I didn't even hear about this room." Luna shook her head the boys for not telling her about the room.

I slightly chuckled at her expression. My friends are amazing but extremely hilarious at the same time. Anyway, Kory occupied himself at the supercomputer. I walked closer to see what he was doing. He had the school security cameras activated on this computer.

"What are you doing?" I asked him. I was wondering what he's do with the cameras.

"I'm turning off the security cameras and playing some footage from before. We can easily get out of the school smoothly." Kory answered as his fingers flew across the keyboard. He was quick and amazingly good with technology and hacking. I'm not saying that it's good thing but in this situation, it is. "Done."

"You got them down?" Chase asked. Kory nodded his head in agreement. "Sweet."

"Wait, you turned off the security cameras?" Luna asked and the boys nodded their heads slowly. Her expression changed to fear. "We are so going to get in trouble for this. Oh my, oh my. What if we get caught? And then it'll go onto our records. Oh my, oh my. We'll never get in a good university. Then-" Luna rambled until Chase covered her mouth with his hand. This stopped her from speaking.

"You done talking now?" Chase asked her and she nodded. He slowly removed his hand and she kept her word.

"Now, are you ready to go off into the woods?" Kory asked and we all nodded. His grin was intact and he spoke once more. "Let's get this mission done."

He walked out the door and we followed him out to the woods. It was time go find my brother.

"Leo, I'm coming for you." I whispered as we left the room.
