Chapter 11: Leo

Phoebe' POV

Kory, Chase, Luna, and I walked silently into the dark woods. The wolf howls could be heard from afar. They howled loudly as it sent shivers down my spine from the mere thought of the possibility that they would kill us. Werewolves have the rumor of being territorial and such had been confirmed by Kory earlier on. I knew that Leo had to be somewhere in the lot of wolves here.

We went to walk into the woods, and as soon we reached it, large over sized wolves chased us. We ran out to the middle of the woods and on the way, we got cuts and scraps. We ran and ran until our energy ran out. The wolves caught up within seconds. With the last bit of our energy, we ran till we hit the outskirts of the pack's border, which was also a part of the clearing which we consider the middle of the forest. After a while, we lost the wolves. My energy ran out just like my friends which caused us to fall to the ground in defeat.

We all lay sprawled on the dirty ground of the dark forest. My scanned our surroundings. A pack could be seen from our distance. We made it. Kory's plan had be a success, except we didn't expect the werewolves to be this bad. It felt like death was coming upon us.

"We made it guys." I said in triumph as my consciousness began to fade and so did theirs.

"Yay." Luna said in an almost dead tone. Kory and Chase just gave a thumbs up and groaned in pain. I will admit, I do slightly regret bringing them with me.

"Phoebe, we are your friends. We will help you no matter what." Chase said in a pained voice.

"How did you..." I began to ask before he continued.

"You are like an open book." He said everyone agreed.

I attempted to smile in thankfulness but it didn't work since it only caused more pain in my entire system. Every movement cause pain. Black dots covered my vision and everything started to go black. The darkness claimed me as one of it's own.

A hurtful, throbbing pain seemed to take over my skull and as I went to reach for it, my hands couldn't reach. I was chained to a wall as I had discovered from opening my eyes.

"What the Hell happened?" I grumbled as I looked around for my friends. I exhaled as I noticed them not too far off from me. They were in the same condition as I am. We were all sitting on the cement ground of a cell. It was in a pack house, I read about these before I came to find my brother. My eyes scanned the room for anyone that could help us out. No one.

"Luna?" I asked with a small voice. Her eyes snapped towards me as I spoke out her name.

"Yes?" She asked in the same tone.

"Which pack is this?" I wondered.

"I don't know. I'm not from this side of the land. Not a werewolf, remember?" She said.

"I know that." I laughed slightly. The pain was still there along with all the injuries.

"Guys, I hear footsteps." Kory said as we all stopped talking.

He was right. The footsteps got louder and louder as they approached our cell. Fear and panic rises within our cell since none of us have ever been in contact with a werewolf. The steps stopped when the door of the cell opened to reveal a large man and another one about the same height but a bit shorter. One was an older version of Leo, he was the taller one. The shorter one has dark hair with eyes to match, and everything about him was dark. His skin was tanned too. He didn't look bad.

"Mine." The shorter one growled as he ran towards Luna who moved closer towards me in fear. This caused more of a growl.

"Dude, calm down. She's not one of us. The other girl is along with the boys." My brother said as he looked towards me. "Who are you?"

"Why do you need to know?" Kory said as he seemed to growl.

"Because I do. Now, shut it." Leo growled back. Chase growled back.

"She's not yours to find. She came here to find someone." Chase said calmly as possible.

"I didn't ask you. Once more, who are you?" Leo asked again.

"I am Phoebe Dareskestia. Heiress of the Dareskestia bloodline." I said in a tone that could rise fear within others.

"Phoebe?" He said slowly as if he was familiar with the name.

"There was another heir. He was named Leo. My brother, but he died apparently." I said as his expression changed. His eyes grew dark.

"I didn't die, I just discovered that I didn't belong in the witch world. I am werewolf by heart. So are you dearest sister." His words shocked me.

"I'm not a wolf. I'm not even sure that I'm a witch." I said as I stuttered.

"You are. Kory and I knew it the minute we met you. We knew that you didn't shift yet since your parents placed a lock on it. Deary over here hasn't shifted either since her mother didn't want her to be a part of this world either. We all descend from the wolves." Chase explained as he called Luna "Deary" which I found a bit funny since the shorter guy was bit angry that no one was telling him her name. I know about mates but I didn't believe that they exist.

"Yeah. Chase and Kory over here are a part of this pack." My brother explained when he seen my confused expression.

"Then why are they locked up too?" I asked.

"To not scare you as much." He said simply.

"What now?" Kory asked for me.

"Time to take them to the Alpha." Leo said as nicely as possible. Luna whined a bit. The shorter man was sadden that she wouldn't dare move closer to him.

"Let's get them to the Alpha." The shorter man spoke as he helped Leo to remove our chains.

Anyway, "#Leh" by Lilly Singh (iisuperwomanii) AKA one of my favorite youtubers and Humble the Poet is the song this time for no real point other than I really like this song. I know that this is a day late but I was busy. I will be updating every weekend. By the way, yes yes Chase, Kory, Luna, and Phoebe are werewolves along with Leo. Surprise! I love werewolves, sorry, I couldn't resist.
