Chapter 07

"I heard that Colleen was allegedly expelled yesterday, do you know about this?"

Kararating ko lang sa loob ng room at naabutan kong maingay ang buong klase. They all stopped talking as soon as I entered the class. Clyde was the first one to tell me the news. Nabigla ako at hindi makapaniwala.

How?

Who decided to expelled Colleen? I never asked Dad to do it since he didn't come home last night due to his hectic schedule in company.

Kaya pala pagpasok ko ay hindi ko siya nakita. Panay din ang titig at tsismisan ng mga estudyante. I felt uneasy because I think they're judging me because of the incident. Baka iniisip nila na baliw na ako para makipg-away nang dahil lang sa lalaki.

"She deserves it.." Dagdag pa ni Clyde.

"Who announced it?" Tanong ko pa.

"I don't know, narinig ko lang rin sa mga usap-usapan."

Maybe it's just a rumor. I won't believe it until the guidance counselor announce it personally. I should be informed about that issue since I'm involved. Assuming that it was all rumors not until our first subject prof confirmed it.

"Apparently, I know some of you are now aware that Colleen got expelled in our school, she's no longer your classmates and a student here in Delgado High School.." Then the teacher looked at me. "Please, avoid this kind of incident. Okay, Class?"

"Yes, Ma'am.."

After two consecutive subject, Ava and Kaela came to fetch me because it's recess time. They're both worried and relieved at the same time after seeing me fine. Clyde was about to come but Ava didn't let her for now.

"Sorry, Clyde.. sa 'min muna ngayon si Lexa." She said.

I was embarrassed. Like Clyde own me, huh?

"It's fine.." Tapos humarap siya sa 'kin sabay ngiti.

I smiled too.

Pumunta kaming tatlo sa cafeteria. Gusto nilang ikwento ko ang buong pangyayari kahapon. I'm actually traumatized. My anxiety went high to talk and socialize with other people. Anyway, I still tried to tell them the details despite of anxiousness.

"Sarap tanggalan ng anit ang babaeng 'yon ha!" Galit na sabi ni Ava.

"I believe in Karma supremacy!"

"That girl really deserve her situation right now, dapat lang siyang ma-expel dahil baka gawin niya pa 'yon sa ibang estudyante."

Nagpalitan lang sila ng mga saluobin nila sa nangyari. Mas galit pa sila sa nangyari kaysa sa 'kin.

"What a brat, e kasalanan mo bang ikaw ang gusto ni Clyde?"

"Ay hindi pa tayo sure diyan te!" Kaela said and grimaced.

"Teka nga, ano na bang status niyo ni Clyde at mukhang na-trigger masyado si Colleen?"

I took a long breath.

"He's now courting me-"

"Shet! Seryoso?!" Ava exaggeratedly asked with her OA reaction.

"Shuta... Kailan pa te?" Si Kaela naman.

I expected their reaction. Gusto nila si Clyde para sa 'kin kaya nakikita ko sa mga mukha nila ang pagkagalak.

"Kahapon lang.." Sagot ko.

Sinabi ko sa kanila kung paano siya umamin sa 'kin sa loob ng sasakyan. Nakikinig sila sa 'kin ng mabuti na parang isa akong teacher sa favorite subject nila.
