-You what?!? screamed Alan on the other side of the phone.
- I had to, he was about to kill me! shouted Suziky, her voice stuttering, her eyes on her bloody hand.
- That wasn't part of the plan! What will the boss think when he'll know?
- Do I sound like I care right now? screamed Suziky louder while letting her tears fall and taking a look at Isaiah who was still laying unconscious further. I just committed a murder and I still don't know what to do about Isaiah!
- Just bring him here.
- I can't, Alan!
Suziky was sitting on the ground, holding her knees against her chest. She was crying while talking to Alan about what happened. The sent of blood was everywhere and Taylor was laying in the middle of the big red spot, dead.
When Suziky stabbed Taylor in the chest, blood splattered her clothes and her hands. She even had some of his blood on her face but she wiped it away with the hood of her costume and the rest went away with the tears. She looked at the body at first as it was falling to the ground. Taylor was only groaning a little and, after some time, stopped and died for good.
She kept staring at the blood for a long time. She was completely paralyzed of fear, terrified. She decided to call Alan but it looked like he wasn't really helping.- I can't move, Alan! I'm too scared!
- Is it that bad to kill someone?
- Shut up and come pick me up, damn it! You're not helping at all! she cried, trying to keep the stutter away but failed.
- Ok, ok, sorry. Stay where you are, I'm coming. And don't do anything stupid. Everything will be fine, you just need to calm down, ok?
- Ok...
- Good. I'll be there soon, don't worry.
Alan hung off. Suziky dropped her phone between her legs and restarted crying softly. After two long minutes, Alan's car appeared, the lights brightening the alley.
- Oh god! he first said when he saw the body of Taylor, laying near his engine. What the hell, Suzy, when I said stay there, I didn't mean to stay near the body.
Alan passed beside the dead boy and walked to Suziky before kneeling near her. She kept looking at the ground, now shivering of cold and fear. She didn't say a word, didn't give a look at Alan or Isaiah. She let Alan pick her up. After bringing her in the car, on the passenger's seat, Alan went back to Isaiah.
He took a kind of liquid and a syringe out of the bag he brought with him. He put the liquid in the syringe and stinged Isaiah with it to then pour it in Isaiah's vein. After straightening back up, Alan walked to the mysterious guy, who was still unconscious from Alan's hit, and tried to wake him up. He checked his pulse to see if he's still alive and approved he was. Then, he took a picture of the stranger and walked back in the car, driving away from the murder scene.. . .
- Stay still, please, I'm almost done.
Alan applied the tissue covered of alcohol on Suziky's last injury and she winced a little. It's been now an hour already that they were both back home. The clock was showing 3:13am and Suziky was tired, exhausted. Alan insisted to clean her wounds and cover them so his mom didn't ask too many questions in the morning. Even though, Suziky would still have to put some makeup to hide all the bruises.
Before driving back home, they had to go to the bus station to then give Arlen to the Black Doves, as demanded. When they took him away, Suziky and Alan could hear the young man scream and cry. The partners didn't have to endure more of his screams since we sent them back home after. Alan didn't mention the death of Taylor and Suziky kept shut. Her friend showed the boss the picture of the mysterious guy who attacked them as well.
They learned that Sora Zimmerman, the assailant, was a man of 21 years old. He was known as a warrior working alone, usually at night, always accompanied of his katana. He was saving people so nobody had to experience the same nightmare his dead friend lived.
When they arrived home, Alan checked in his mom's room to make sure she was asleep then brought Suziky in his room to cure her physical wounds and bruises. Suziky was also trying to cure herself, but mentally, by eliminating all screenshots from her head. The sent, the body, the blood of another person covering her hands. It was all running through her mind in loop and she was trying to erase these images but couldn't a bit.- I killed him..., she kept repeating quietly.
- It wasn't your attentions, Suzy. You never meant to do this.
- But I did it! I should be in jail for that! That, and for everything else! she shouted.
- Hey, hey! Keep it down! Alan stopped her. We wouldn't want mom to walk in to see you broken like this.
- I wouldn't care, honestly.
- Suzy...
- No, Alan! I'm tired of your "Suzy..." and you're "It's ok". Nothing's ok!
- Why are you mad at me? You are the one who joined at first, you knew what was coming for you!
- Stop bringing it back!
- Why? It's the truth!
- But I never wanted to kill someone, I'm not even suppose to! And all you find to say to calm me down is that I didn't mean it?! she yelled, pushing Alan away from her.
- You were defending yourself, that's all! If you didn't do this, you would have died!
- So what? At least Taylor would be alive and Isaiah would remember everything! He would call the police to arrest us, arrest me, and to get his love back!
- I prefer that they die than you do, Suzy! Damn it, is it so hard to understand? screamed Alan.
- But you wouldn't lose a loved one!
- You are the one I love the most in this world, Suziky! I would kill for you! I would die for you! I would do anything to keep you here with me!
- But life isn't just about you, Alan!
Both were now breathing fast, standing face to face. They kept staring at each other with anger for a long moment. Alan sighed and started to leave the room.
- Where are you going? asked Suziky after calming herself down a little.
- Leaving you alone. You need to clear your mind.
- It's your room, stay, I'll leave.
- You can sleep there like you can leave; I don't care. I'm going out.
As he finished his sentence, he walked downstairs. Suziky sat back on his bed and let everything go. She laid down and kept crying until she fell asleep after hearing the door slamming.
