May 26, 2021...
The air outside was getting colder. Winter was in the near in Sidney. It's been a while since the day Suziky left the apartment. Her and Alan have been living in the same house since that night. She never saw her mom again. It was impossible for her now cause she was dead.
The morning after her and Alan escaped, a month ago, Suziky woke up around 7am while Alan was watching the news. She remembered seeing his pale face looking at the tv. It looked like he saw something scary, like he saw a ghost. She understood his reaction when she saw on the news the dead body of her mother being taken in an ambulance. When the reporter talked about the mysterious killer of Sidney, Suziky couldn't hold back a smile.
Even if it was her mother, Suziky didn't have any sadness. No even a tear. Compared to Alan, she couldn't stop watching the video they got to film of her mom being taken away. She was now safe. It was maybe bad to think this, but Suziky thanked the killer for his murder this morning.
Walking down the road with Alan to go to the park, they decided to stop to a shop while passing by. Suziky bought herself a new purple dress decorated of white little flowers. As for Alan, he chose to buy a black coat with some chains decorating it. Once they got out, they continued their way to the park. As they were talking, their conversation was going well.- So, what are we going to do there? Suziky asked.
- It was your idea so aren't you supposed to know? said Alan.
- No, actually I don't have any idea, Suziky continued. Just wanted to walk I guess.
- Ok then, let's just walk, said Alan with a chuckle.
- You don't mind?
- Of course not. Why would I?
- I don't know. I'm just overthinking I guess, answered Suziky.
- Then calm down, there is nothing to be panicking about.
- Yea, you're right. Sorry.
Suziky gave a smile to Alan and this one smiled to her back. As they were walking, a cold wind blew away the hood of Suziky and her hair, who grew from last time, started flying in the air. Surprised, Suziky, started laughing and Alan joined her. She brought her hair all together and put back her hood on. After that, she continued walking with Alan all the way to the park.
. . .
Total darkness was surrounding him. The hallway was empty, not a sound was being heard, except his breathing. Hidden in the shadows, the mysterious killer was watching his next victim with his big eyes. He was ready to run to her, grab her and drag her back to the hallway, without nobody noticing.
The girl was standing near the hallway he was hiding in. Texting on her phone, she didn't have an idea of what would happen. She was too idiot to know that she might get killed because she was alone that day. But it would be too late to notice once her blood would flow on the ground.
The time had come. The killer stood on his feet and started walking silently to the light of noon. The girl was still looking at her cellphone. He could hear her humming a song. He was coming closer. The wind was blowing in his face but it didn't stop him from walking. His dagger in his hand, he was getting nearer.
Standing, right behind her, he lifted his weapon to her neck. At this moment, he heard two people screaming at the girl.- Watch Out! Behind You! one screamed as the other one was running to them.
The killer, surprised, stopped his move. The innocent girl turned around and opened her eyes wide open, before slapping the murderer's face with a loud scream of panic. The two people running to them were closer. The killer started running back in the hallway, as fast as he could, to escape.
When he thought he was finally far enough to stop, he started hearing footsteps. As he turned around, he saw a brown hair guy running forward to him, his phone to his hand. His dark blue eyes were focused on the killer. This one took a blade out of his vest and threw it right at the young man.
With some chance, the target dodged the knife and stopped 3 meters away from the killer.- You don't know what you're doing kid, started the killer, looking with eyes an escape.
- I called the police! Soon enough they'll catch you! screamed the young man.
- You'll probably be dead by now, little idiot! continued the killer, taking his next weapon out.
He charged the young man. The victim took an old wooden stick from the ground and blocked the attacked just before the murderer had the chance to touch him. With his other hand, the mysterious guy took another dagger out and tried to cut the hand of the boy off.
He took his hand away from the way and kicked the legs of the killer, who fell on his back with a scream of surprise. Before he could stand back up, the young man kicked his weapon away and put his foot on his chest. The murderer was now sticked to the ground, trying to move the foot off him.- Alan, are you alright?! they both heard from the back.
A young girl was arriving, a bag in her hands. She was running to them. The one named Alan turned around to look at her. The killer took this opportunity to punch the ankle of the young man. This one screamed and took his foot away and the killer jumped on his feet to, after that, kick the stomach of the boy. The victim swayed backward and the girl helped him staying up.
They were now hearing the sirens of the police cars coming near. The killer took a gun out and shouted :- Put your hands up right fucking now, kids, or I shoot you both down!
The two people put their hands in the air when they saw the gun aiming at them. The girl moved a little to hide behind the boy, who was standing straight, looking right into the murderer's eyes. The armed man saw that this guy wasn't afraid. He kept pointing the gun on the two young people as he was walking backward.
A pressure on his shoulder stopped him. Turning his head slowly, both of his hands got taken and brought behind his back. The hands holding his took his gun away and started putting cuffs around his wrists.- Mysterious killer, you have the right to stay silent. You may follow us to the police station to see what we can do with you. You'll have the right to speak once you will be in front of the jury.
