(Name) rubbed her chin thoughtfully, sitting cross-legged on her chair. She was sitting in front of her desk, computer opened up to a document that consisted of ideas for gifts to get Ray. Given that he had just saved her life a few days ago, (Name) felt that it was right to get him a gift. The only problem was that she didn't know what to get him. It was the bane of her existence, whenever gift-giving season came around she would just magically forget everything about her friends. Like a special case of amnesia. She went through her list of ideas for the nth time, rubbing her face stiffly because the document didn't graciously jot down the perfect gift to get Ray itself. Nothing felt like the right gift.

A plushie was too childish, he was a teenage boy for god's sake.

Getting him stationary was boring, (Name) might've appreciated a nice set of pencils but she was certain that Ray wouldn't.

Homemade gifts were a good idea at first, until (Name) stressed herself out. If she was going to make something for him it had to be perfect, any less would just cause her shame.

She had thought about calling it quits and getting him a prepaid gift card, but with that amount of effort she might as well wrapped a rock she found on the street.

After a solid hour of trying to figure out a present on her own, (Name) thought it was best to confide in her friends. Even if that meant getting an onslaught of teasing, she didn't need to save face anymore. She crawled over to her phone that was resting on her bed, unlocking it and opening up the group chat with Kae and Iris. Though it would make more sense to ask Corin and Jameson for ideas, (Name) thought that they weren't the best people to ask because Jameson always asked for food as a gift and Corin was Corin. She typed in a quick message and hit send, waiting for either one of her friends to view the message and send back a reply.
