Swaying trees
A fresh verdant
Washed away
With tears
From the heavens.
Earthy red soils,
And welled-up eyes
Trickle across
Fragile petals.
Blows of air
Nipping at skin
Splashes of puddles
And melodic laughs;
Hands outstretched
To catch falling watery stars
And wish upon them
For more rain,
Pitter-pattering against the window pane.
