It was already dawn.
Renee stared at the unconscious little boy on the ground.
[Please don't run, miss.]
She could hear them repeating those words through the megaphone and speakers.
What was the probabilty of them successfuly running away, anyways?
They were running against soldiers.
They were running from a helicopter!
What were they, again?
Kids.
Realizing the harsh reality, Renee pouted and abruptly squated down beside the boy.
Whatever. I give up.
"I could run away but my kind self could never leave a poor kid behind.", she looked pitifully at the child and sighed.
Wow.
What could this girl even do to help this poor kid anyways?
Peh. Nothing!
She was already struggling to help herself. What is this big act all about?
2 minutes...
5 minutes...
10 minutes...
Growl--
Renee frowned.
"Over 10 minutes has already passed. My stomach is already growling. When will they arrive?"
She was certain it wouldn't even take a minute for them to come and get her.
What happened?
[Young miss, please come out.], this sound already ranged out multiple times already.
Not far away, she could still see the helicopter flying but it wasn't going to any direction.
This confirmed that they were still near but they didn't continue to move any further at all?
Renee's curiousity sprang from within her. She wanted to see what had happened.
"Miss.", a voice suddenly called out from above her.
She looked up and saw a guy probably in his 40s looking down at her.
His brow rose in discontent as he moved his gaze to the boy next to her.
He adjusted his glasses and notified her:
"This is a private property."
Renee, unhurriedly, rose up from the ground and patted off the dust on her butt.
Upon seeing this, the man sneered before he continued. "You caused such big commotion outside and now they also want to intrude in this place too."
Renee listened to the man while she continued wiping off the dirt left that still refused to come off from her skirt.
Thinking about it, both of them did climb up from a fence, and a sign saying 'private property' was indeed pasted.
"Ah.", Renee stopped and blinked in realization.
She gave up cleaning off the annoying dirt and stood properly.
"Are we going to jail?"
The man just gave her a look, "Get out."
Renee tilted her head."...so,we're not going to jail?"
The man was displeased. "Go to jail if you like. Just get out from this place, miss."
Renee remained unmoved from her position. "So, we are really going to jail?", she gave a look filled with confusion.
Why is this guy so complicated?
"Miss. I only asked you to get out", wth? Is this girl really crazy?
He pointed at the flying helicopter on the sky. "Your family is looking for you. I don't want any trouble coming at this property, miss. You better solve your matters with them."
Renee took quite a while before answering. She seemed to be thinking hard about something.
The man thought she would finally go before Renee opened her mouth. "But those people are soldiers..."
The man was starting to get irritated. "Yes. I believe your family was the one who sent them."
Renee didn't appear to hear the words he just said as she continued. "They are soldiers so they are going to take us to jail....but that's a police's job. Can a soldier do that too?"
"Miss. I can escort you out of here.", the man suggested. The girl was starting to speak nonsense.
"Ah! But Mr. Guy, I don't think they'll take me to jail. I think I'll probably go to heaven before that...", she put her index finger below her chin.
She had been running away from them. That's a really big sin to run away from soldiers but who she really meant she was running from were the very own 'family', the guy meant. Would they even let her live?
Grumble--
'Mr. Guy?', The man was astonished.
'No. This girl's mental illness is contagious.', He internally shook his head.
Ignoring the grumbling sound he clearly heard from the girl, the man offered his hand. "Please follow me, miss."
The girl gave him a smile. He sighed internally as he thought she would finally do as he wished when..
Plop--
She returned to squat down beside the boy.
