The boy's cyan blue eyes are on Renee's.
"You're Affrailliane? ", his question made the talking ladies, stop and their attention was turned to Renee and him.
Renee hesitated whether what to answer. The body she was in, is Affrailliane but she isn't really Affrailliane. Her name is Renee. Should she say...?
"Yes. This is our one and only daughter, Affrailliane.", Yana answered for her.
"You're not as what they say...", the boy commented, still looking at her.
"Ah? ", Renee blurted out in confusion.
The boy didn't say anything anymore and slightly scoffed.
"Oh. Sorry for that sweetheart.My son just doesn't know how to socialize.", Lily remarked and clasped the boy's shoulders. "This is Lionel, and I am his mother, Lily. Nice to meet you, Affrailliane. ", she said while smiling.
".. Nice to meet you, too..? ", Renee replied with a forced smile.
Lily was about to say something when her phone suddenly rang, "Oh. I think we have to go, now", she looked at her phone. "Sorry, sweetheart. We'll meet again later, and have a nice, long chat with my son, okay? ", she said looking sorry at Renee.
"Why so fast?", Yana sighed softly, "Call me, if you have time, alright? We haven't seen each other for the last thirteen years, and you're going so fast. "
"Don't worry, Yanyan. We're living inside the country now. We'll definitely see each other again more. "
After they bid their goodbyes, the mother and son pair was taken by a black limousine car. The man in military uniform, Vincent, too went to go to 'work'.
Yana was left with Renee. "Affrailliane. ",she said in a warning tone.
The smiling face was now replaced by a cold look. "Get a hold of yourself. What you did a while ago was a big embarrasment. Do you want me to lose face to that Lily?!"
Renee was startled by the sudden peircing gaze the woman used to her.
What the... She looked at me with her eyes almost bursting out tears a while ago saying she's sorry and stuff. She even happily introduced me to those people. Why is this woman suddenly mad at me?!
Yana sighed before saying:"Never do that next time. You should thank that I am in a good mood now. I don't want to ever see you acting like that again. Don't be such a disgrace! "
Her tone suddenly softened as she said the next words:"You haven't eaten yet, right? There are still a lot of food left in the table. You can go and eat first. Mom is going somewhere for a 'bit. You stay here, okay? "
Renee nodded.
After seeing the lady go out, she went to the dining room.
Gosh, that lady is scary. Scarier than that other guy. Smiling one second then went angry next moment.
Eeeh. Gives me goosbumps.
After walking a few steps, Renee was greeted by the sight of all the wondrous foods on the table. It looked like they're having a small feast.
"Holy donuts! I haven't seen this much food for breakfast. ", she exclaimed while quickly sitting down the table.
Claret was right behind Renee and she was once again utterly shocked seeing how fast Renee stuffed all the food on the table.
