At the Icellius' main mansion...

"You lost your daughter?", an old mam with a solemn expression sat in front of Yana and her husband.

Yana was trembling. She kept moving around her eyes and gritted her teeth.

" Father, please. My wife had been feeling extremely restless and stressed lately.", Vincent tightened his  embrace on Yana's shoulders.

"Really? Your daughter ran away and ended up trespassing on a private property.", he slammed his hand on the table. " Not just any private property, it was a private property even the government could not touch, enter nor meddle in!"

He rose from his seat. His solemn expression was changed by the look of anger. " It's useless trying to find her. She might as well could have been probably dead!"

His voice was extremely loud.

Yana broke down and lost all her strenght left. Tears started flowing and she was now just relying on her husband's support to keep herself from falling down.

The old man looked at Yana in an extremely disgruntled expression.

" Forget about your dead daughter. Look at what the media would say. You caused such a huge commotion using the family's soldiers! What would you say? You dispatched them to run after your measly kid? And what's more, she wasn't even caught? Vincent, when did you give permission for this woman to control the soldiers?"

He was furious. " Have you even thought about the family's reputation? Your husband's reputation? huh, woman?! You've done nothing but shame to this family--"

" Father!", Vincent cut off his father's words. "Please, enough."

Yana was already trembling so hard. Vincent was worried.

The old man lowered his tone and looked at his son.

His son whose head has been muddled ever since he met this vile woman.

His son who has achieved amazing feats who instead was bewitched by this vixen.

Because of that woman, his son dared to refute him, dared to disobey and dare to disrespect him.

It was all due to the curse bought by this woman.

" Fix this Vincent." , he ordered. " Fix yourself, fix your family, fix everything!"

He slammed the table once again before kicking those two out of his study room.

Three days have passed...

" Yum!!"

Complete opposite from the chaotic atmosphere from the Icellius' mansion, the atmosphere on the place Hawk and Renee was were completely peaceful.

Renee felt this was the heaven she was longing for.

" Please eat slowly. You might choke again.", Hawk reminded her.

Both of them were having a picnic on the garden. They put a blanket above the grass and ate happily.

...especially Renee.

Words could not describe how overjoyed she was.

She were like this ever since that day.

Specifically that time where Hawk cooked a simple vegetable soup as dinner for the both of them the first time.

At first, she suddenly paused on the first sip and her expression turned extremely gloomy.

Hawk thought she didn't like the taste. Well, he guessed Renee was someone from a rich family so it was understandable.

But then, Renee finished the soup in a blink of an eye thereafter, throwing him a bunch of compliments which almost made him blush.

After that, Renee urged him to cook every breakfast, lunch and dinner from then on. She even wanted to include 'making snacks' on the list, but then decided to exclude saying it in consideration.

" Gosh! You're really an angel sent from heaven.", Renee exclaimed.

Hawk felt his head hurt. " Renee, please  keep yourself from talking when there are still food in your mouth."

" No, I-", she suddenly stopped midway.

And then...

"*cough *cough"

Just like what he warned her, Renee chocked.

" water *cough!", she pounded her chest.

Hawk immediately got a glass of water and handed it to Renee.

Renee drank the water in a haste and continued dabbing her chest. She coughed for a while then finally calmed down.

" Phew.", she exhaled.

"Renee!", Hawk looked at her with a frustrated expression. " I really appreciate you liking my simple cooking but please don't act that way again. This is already the third time you choked during eating!"

He felt as if he was looking after a young child.

..even though he clearly was the one younger between the both of them.

" I'm sorry. I didn't really mean too...", Renee apologized.

Can't believe a child would scold her again but how can she refute? The child was right.

" If you choke again..I- I'll never cook again!", he hesitated before declaring.

"Ah?"

Holy chocolates, what?!

Renee quickly grabbed both of his hands and pleaded. " Alright, alright. I promise to never choke while eating. Please do not make scary threats like that."

Hawk expected this kind of reaction but still was a bit surprised nonetheless. He smiled and chuckled lightly.

These days, both of them managed to slowly adapt to their new situation. They found few clothes so clothing wasn't a problem anymore.

Why were there children's clothes there? Who knows?

Even though it was only two of them, the seemed that old man was actually a lot thoughtful than they thought. He appeared to left them here on purpose for they had everything they needed here.

Hawk was in charge of cooking while Renee offered in washing the dishes.

Both of them started cleaning the inside of the mansion. There were still a large pile of wooden sticks on the kitchen for now but in case if they go lacking, they found quite a handful of tools on one of the small rooms.

Heck, even guns and swords were stored there.

As I've told you, except for electricity and any electric supplies, almost everything is already here!

Except for a gigantic need of manual labor on cleaning and maintaining this place, both of them were certain that they would live and survive quite well.
