Y/n's POV

7 months. It’s been 7 months since things have ended between us.

It was fine, aside from having the same friend group, being in the same industry as her, and constantly being asked how things are with her. But that’s the problem. No one knows about the breakup except for the both of us. Not even our friends, family nor companies. Not even the fans knew.

Why haven’t we told anyone about it, you ask? We were planning to, but we decided it wouldn’t be the ideal time to do so, which ultimately lead us to eventually forget about announcing it officially.

Her company, Rainbowbridge, called me a week ago regarding the preparation of the next album of her group, Purple Kiss. Their comeback has been set in a couple of months, meaning recording sessions are bound to start anytime soon, which also meant one thing.

We’d be seeing each other again. Though for business purposes only.

Goeun’s POV

It’s 6am on a Tuesday. The girls and I have just arrived in the company, where we'll be recording our new set of songs for our next album.

We’re now riding the elevator to the 3rd floor, where the studios are located. The girls are chattering here and there, talking about how excited and curious they are about the songs. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

“Unnie, you okay?”

I smiled at the blue-haired girl. “I’m fine, Soojin-ah. Why’d you ask?”

“You seem to be thinking hard about something since you’re creasing your eyebrows.” As expected of our youngest. She knows everyone so well.

“Ahh, haha, yeah. Just.. a bit worried about our comeback, that’s all.”

Soojin must’ve understood by the way she nodded. “I’m also kinda worried too, but I know it’ll turn out great. Everyone’s been working very hard lately, especially you unnie.”

I smiled at her, sometimes I wonder how come she’s the youngest when she’s so wise for her age. I held her hand, rubbing the back of it with my thumb.

“Thank you, Soojin-ah. It means a lot.” She squeezed my hand in reply with a smile.

“Oh right! Goeun unnie!” I turned to Chaeyoung, the youngest of the '02 line, and raised my eyebrows with a hum.

“Y/n unnie will be in charge of our songs again, right?” Everyone turned to me at the name mentioned. They all knew her pretty well, some even knew her way before I did.

I was taken aback from her sudden question and to say that it got me flustered would be an understatement.

“I- uhh.. I.. I guess so..?”

“You guess so?” Ireh, the eldest of the '02 line, piped in.

“Well, most likely since the CEO has placed us under her care and that she’ll be the producer-in-charge for our music.”

“Wahh daebak-“ "See I told you!"

The familiar elevator ding interrupted the oncoming chattering, signalling that we have reached the 3rd floor. We all made our way to studio #3 as soon as the elevator doors opened.

Y/n’s POV

I reviewed song after song, totaling 12 songs in their album. Well, full album to be exact. As I was looking over the copies of lyrics on the desk, I heard a few knocks on the door. The same 3 knocks.
