All rights go to Rick Riordan. Polaris only owns Intrise, I*#----(mumbles the rest of the name), and _____^Insert name of new character^ and a few plot twists. And she is adding a si--Me: Thanks for that! Now, let's start!
<---------------------------------->
Intrise P.O.VWe arrived at Camp Half-Blood and sure as Hephaestus, Percy got the sailing coordinates Though he didn't know what those meant quite yet. We saw Camp Half-Blood at war. Those 2 Colchis bulls were taking the Tartarus of strength out of them all. Percy rushed to help them. So did Annabeth. I wish I could say that I ran into battle and helped them, but something was holding me back. It just went a few flickers.
I watched in shock as everyone went into battle. Percy badly needed help. Annabeth just stood there, wringing her hands. "Help him!", I yelled at her.
"I can't! I don't have my weapon!", she yelled back.
"Then let me in!", I screamed. Yaa, I know what you are thinking. A mortal girl with no weapon? What can she do? Okay, looking back, that was NOT the best thing to do. But, well, my friend was in danger. How could I just stand and stare?
"I, Annabeth Chase, give you permission to enter the camp!", she said as loudly as she could without attracting any attention.
I didn't waste a second. I rushed in without thinking. No plan, nothing. As I rushed towards the bull, a sword suddenly appeared at the, like, last minute. I grabbed it. I know, I know. A random sword just appears and I just grab it? What if it was cursed? What if it was for someone else?
At the moment, I didn't care. It just felt like it was meant to be taken by me.
I jumped high, and boy, if only I could jump that high during our sports week, I would have gotten first prize every year!
I brought down the sword and the monster gave a cry. I have never heard anything like that before. It disintegrated. I landed with one knee on the ground.
The campers were staring at me. Even Clarisse was shocked.
" What?", I asked non-chantly. Like I have totally not killed a monster while being a mortal and a sword totally didn't appear out of anywhere for me. And it was so normal for me to kill being without any training at ALL.Clarisse shook herself out of shock and barked out some orders. Everyone started to move again. Apollo's kids started to heal others and take them to the infirmary and stuff.
Percy just stood there, staring at me. So did Annabeth and Clarisse. After a few minutes, it got annoying so I asked, " Okay, what's wrong ? Why are you staring at me like that? It's creepy, 'kay ? STOP.".
"You are a Half-Blood ?", Percy asked.
"Me a what ?", I answered, faking confusion. "What were those thingies ? Some monsters or mythical creatures ?", I quickly added.
"But if you are not, then how did you kill the monster? Why did the sword appear like magic? Who are you ?", Percy raved.
"I guess that's a question for your dear Chiron -maybe-is-the - coach centaur, right ?", I shot back at him.
" I- come on, we have got to report to Tantaulas. (what's the spelling of his name again ?)", Clarisse finally spoke up.
"Wait, Tantaulas? What about Chiron ?", Percy asked, obviously forgetting about me.
"A lot has changed. You guys were gone too long", Clarisse grunted in reply.
_____________________________We went to talk to Chiron. I zoned out while Percy told everything to Chiron and they talked about the stuff they should have. I finally snapped back to reality when I saw Chiron glance at me and ask Percy about me.
I saved him the bother of replying by introducing myself.
" My name is Intrise Promesa, sir. I am originally from India and used to go to the same school as Percy. I happened to be there when those,..things attacked and, ermm , guess I kinda helped Percy ?"."So you must be a Half-Blood, young lady. In that case, I suppose-", Chiron started to say something but I cut him off.
"Sir, I am not half anything. I am completely normal, thank you. If this is what I think it is from the stories I have read, and if the meaning of 'Half-Blood' is what I think it is, then no, I am completely normal. Both my parents are my real parents. I have had a completely normal life and nothing changed until a few hours ago. I know my parentage and I assure you that there is nothing 'Godly' about it", I rushed it all out in a single breath."Wait, what stories? Do you know about demi-gods? And the Greek Gods and Goddesses ?", Percy awkwardly asked.
"Percy, stories of Hercules, Achilles, Bellerophon, Jason, Perseus, Theseus, and the rest. Yes. Well, no, not exactly. I kinda always saw monsters, but I had convinced myself that those were my imagination. Well, now I guess I know better. Besides, I have always had an interest in Mythology. Before you ask, no, Annabeth, I don't have ADHD or Dyslexia.", I answer.
"That's a lot to take in. Not many mortals see through the mist. You must be here for a reason. You will stay here as well. Just say that the camp boundaries were mistaken and that you are a demigod. Make up some strong of having a minor God as a parent. Stay at the Hermes cabin. I wish I could guide you, but...", Chiron absurdly broke off.
"But, what ?", Percy asked right back on track.
Their conversation went back and forth and I tuned out again. I know, I zone out a lot. And no, this is not because of ADHD. It's just that I think too much.
Chiron left leaving behind a crestfallen Percy and Annabeth.
I tried to cheer them up. "Hey, we have to get going, right? And I would need a tour of the camp as well. Maybe either of you could do that ?", I said getting down to business.
"Yeah, that's right. We need to think up a cover story for you. Maybe you can pretend to be the daughter of Nemesis? They don't have too much power. So you wouldn't need to show off much", Annabeth replied shaking herself.
"Nah, what if an actual child of Nemesis figured out the truth?", I asked, thinking about Ethan Nakamura, "That'll be the end of the line for me. How about,.... Psyche, the Goddesses of compassion?", I suggested."That's a good idea. Come on, let's give you a tour. Then we'll go to dinner, I guess. Let's start with the Cabins", Annabeth said, taking charge.
"This is it", I thought, "I am at Camp Half-Blood. And this is going to be my story.".
