~ Aziraphale's Perspective ~
Aziraphale had taken Crowley back to the bookshop, where they now both lay on the couch, Crowley's feet swung over the armrest and his head leaning against Aziraphale's shoulder. The angel was indulged in a fantastic book, one where the characters were off on a very intense mission.
"Crowley, Crowley, Crowley, guess what just happened in this story!" Aziraphale chirped, shaking the demon's shoulder and waking him up. Crowley bared his teeth, swatting at Aziraphale's hand when the angel attempted removing his sunglasses and flashing light in his eyes.
"Go to sleep, Aziraphale." Crowley mumbled from his spot on the couch.
"Oh my goodness! Oh, EEEEEK!! Crowley you'll never believe -"
Crowley interrupted the angel with a groan. He opened one eye, taking off his sunglasses and staring at Aziraphale, whose eyes were wide and hyper. The demon arched an eyebrow, glaring at Aziraphale.
"Did you just take off your glasses to glare at me, dear?" Aziraphale snorted.
"I did indeed," Crowley snapped, "Because I am trying to go to bed and -"
"But Crowley! Someone's just been abducted!"
"...I don't care, Angel..." Crowley rolled back over putting his glasses on and curling up next to him. The demon rubbed against Aziraphale's shoulder, but the angel hardly noticed.
"AH!" Aziraphale cried out as his eyes scanned the pages of his book and he slammed it shut, his eyes wide. He jerked up so fast that Crowley was thrown off the couch. The demon smacked his nose on the floor, sitting up and rubbing the bridge of his nose. His sunglasses slid off his face and into his hand.
"Okay, first of all, ouch." The demon hissed, plopping back onto the couch and swinging an arm around Aziraphale. He watched the angel through his yellow eyes, smiling faintly. Even in the dim lighting, Aziraphale could see the way his pupils got considerably larger.
"My dear, your eyes are doing that thing again."
Crowley shoved the sunglasses back on.
"G'night, Angel." he said instead.
"I think it's cute," Aziraphale continued. Crowley, even in the dark, blushed. Aziraphale smiled at being able to make the demon do so.
"It is not." the demon argued.
"I think your eyes are wonderful."
"Shut up."
"You're wonderful." Aziraphale grinned when Crowley shoved his face into a pillow. The angel grabbed the demon and pressed a kiss to his cheek, feeling the heat on Crowley's face. Aziraphale snuggled closer, rubbing his thumb over Crowley's hand.
"Aziraphale, please, stop, I'm begging you. As a demon, I am quite sure that, should you compliment me any more, I will melt like the freaking wicked witch of the west."
Aziraphale laughed so hard he couldn't breathe.
"Why did they ever cast you out?" the angel wondered sadly, looking out the window towards the clouded night sky. "Of Heaven , I mean."
Crowley shrugged, picking at his nails and wringing his fingers together nervously.
"I dunno," he answered, "Guess I deserved it."
Aziraphale looked at him with eyes filled with pity. Crowley bristled, giving Aziraphale a glare so powerful the angel could see it through his sunglasses.
"You didn't."
"You don't remember me when I was an angel. I deserved what I got."
"I don't believe that for a second," Aziraphale said, "You lying demon."
