Chapter 18

She let go off your face and wanted to walk off, but you stopped her.

"Actually...I need to tell you something" you started.

She turned around and smiled.

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Could we talk about it in, your room maybe?"

Lady Dimitrescu chuckled and pat your head,

"Why of course we can~" she answered and turned around to walk to her room.

You felt a little nervous and started to shake a bit. Lady Dimitrescu noticed your uneasiness,

"Is something wrong?" she asked, not turning around.

You tried to stop yourself from shaking and just shook your head.

"No, everything's alright..." you started to walk infront of her and stopped at her rooms door.

She was confused and waited for you to say something.

You thought for a second and looked up to her,

"I know that I betrayed your trust, but I need you to stay outside for now"

Lady Dimitrescu tilted her head again.

"Pardon me? You want me to stay outside of my own private chamber?"

You nodded.

"Please, only for a few minutes. Trust me just this time" you kept your eyes locked with hers and awaited her answer.

She sighed and made a hand movement, which meant for you to go in. You thanked her and walked in, closing the door behind you quickly.

You looked around and saw Ethan waiting there.

"How the hell do you live in this place?! It's a literal maze!"

You let out a small chuckle and then shrugged.

"I guess years of cleaning this place made me memorise the Castles layout" you walked towards him, taking a deep breath.

"Listen, Ethan. To get to Rose, you'll need to put your weapons away-"

"What?! Are you crazy-" you cut him off.

"I will be...guiding you...to her. Which means that you are safe around me, so you don't need them" you put out your hand, waiting for him to give his weapons to you.

He hesitated at first but then gave in.

"Alright...I trust you. You're the only sane person alive to help me out"

He gave you all his weaponry, they were quite heavy. You wondered where he even got all of them from, but that wasn't important to you now.

You walked towards the door and took one more last breath and turned towards him.

"Ethan"

He tilted his head.

"I'm sorry."

You apologised and opened the door, letting Lady Dimitrescu enter the room. She looked down to you and then to Ethan.

He was startled by your sudden betrayal and nearly fell.

"Why?! Why Y/N? I trusted you!" he yelled at you.

"So did I! But no, you nearly killed Bela!" you looked down.

"Now I can't risk you hurting her.."

Lady Dimitrescu chuckled and extracted her claws, grabbing him by the neck.

"It's time for you to die, Ethan Winters~"
