The Blood Rose Blooms: Part 1

The two drew cards until they each had five in their hands, their eyes never wavering from one another. "I'll start the duel, if you don't mind!" Akiza spoke in a scornful tone, and drew a card from her deck. Akiza carefully examined her cards, trying to come up with the optimal strategy. "I summon witch of the black Rose, in attack position!" After placing her card down, a purple haired girl with a staff soon appeared on the field with 1700 attack points. "Thanks to her ability, I get to draw an additional card. Though if it isn't a monster, my witch gets destroyed." Akiza then drew a card from her deck and revealed to Noah. "Would you look at that, Copy Plant is the card I drew. Next I play two cards face down, and end my turn."

With her turn done, Noah examined the field, and the potential ramifications of what her cards could be. "I have an inkling on what you've played Akiza, reminds me of a..." Before he could finish his sentence, Akiza interrupted him and was not happy. "I don't want to hear it! The past is the past, and right now all I want to do is squash you and make you suffer for the years you abandoned me!" Noah growled lightly as he felt her power fluctuating already, that didn't bother him. He could handle her anger, what bothered him was Sayer. He had manipulated her, and forced her anger at him for 'abandoning' her to rise to the surface. Even though they had seemingly reconciled. "I'll save you Akiza, if it's the last thing I do!"

Noah then drew a card from his deck, to signal the start of his turn. Examining his hand carefully, there was only card he could seemingly play. But he decided against it for now. "I summon Koa'Ki Meiru Gravirose, in attack position!" A rose haired woman with a green body, soon made her presence felt, whip held tightly in her hand, her Attack standing at 1900. "Next I activate the field spell, Black Garden!" In a questionable move at least according to the announcer, the field spell black garden had been activated. "I don't need to tell you what it does Akiza, now I play two cards face down, and attack your witch!" Gravirose then sent her whip straight at the Witch, and Gravirose would've destroyed it, if not for Akiza's face down. "I activate my trap card! Half Counter! My monster now gains attack, equal to half your monsters attack points! Now go my Witch, destroy his Gravirose!" With the extra 950 points of extra attack, Witch of the Black Rose easily destroys Gravirose and inflicts 750 points of damage. Taking Noah's lifepoints down to 3250. "Tch, annoying. I end my turn."

"Pathetic! I was hoping for more from you, but that's fine. It just means that I can finally put you in the past!" Akiza drew her next card, and her lips curled into a sinister smile. "I activate Mystical Space Typhoon, and destroy your Black Garden!" With that, Noah's field spell was dispatched, much to his annoyance. "I then summon HedgeGuard in defence mode!" With that, a giant hedge made it's presence felt, with an impressive 2100 defence points. "But he won't be staying long!" Noah knew he was in serious trouble now, he knew what was coming. "I tune my level 4 Witch of the Black Rose and my level 3 HedgeGuard!" With that 4 green rings encircled HedgeGuard, which in turn transformed into 3 stars. "I hope you're ready, because I summon my ultimate monster! Black Rose Dragon!" With that a giant Black Dragon covered in Roses made it's presence known to everyone. Noah's arm began to instantly throb with pain, whilst Akiza's began glowing as did Yusei's, Luna's and Jack's. The audience though were horrified at what was about to happen. "My dragon will attack you directly Noah!" A jet of purple flames soon erupt from the Black Rose, and engulfed Noah. Who began screaming in agony, the damage being caused so very real.

Once the flames had dissipated, Noah was left standing his skin smoking and his shirt almost completely burnt off, the Black Rose Necklace still hung around his neck. His lifepoints now sat precariously at 850, and he was in trouble. But worst of all for him, was the wicked smile on Akiza's face. She was enjoying the pain she was inflicting on him, Noah needed to turn this around quickly, or he'd lose Akiza forever!
